Almost two months ago I started building a new battleship, a French corvette I named Beatrix.

I recorded the building proces in a WIP thread.

And now I finally decided to post it.

My sister photoshopped a background in some images for me.

Also I'm happy to announce that this is my first ship of which I provide digital building instructions! (see below)

Sailing to the end of the world...Wait I think I can see the end .

The Beatrix is a 20-gun corvette, a fully rigged ship with 4 courses of sails on the main- and foremast.

So basically it's another one on the massive pile of frigates in the index .

The hull is a white prefab one (from the Friends cruiser) compromised out of a complete bow, 5 midsections and a partially costum built stern.

The cabin has working lights implemented in candles (more of that below) and the capstan can be used to haul up both port and starboard anchors simultaneously.

I didn't bother to show off that last feature as systems like that became a standard on my ships (see a video in this thread).

The upper decks detach from the ship to reveal the interior.

However, as many ship builders know it's not evident to combine an accessible interior with the tumblehome shape of a ship and its rigging.

You may notice that most of the interior pictures were taken before the ship was rigged.

Interesting fact, this ship was named after one of my aunts, just like my previous one (Christine) was named after my mother, they are sisters, sister-ships .

I think the stern is my favourite part of the ship.

Yes, I'm definitely happy with that part.

The skylight is really transparant, which is cool when using the light feature.

Chasers on the forecastle deck, to capture that fleeing ship...

Chasers on the quarter deck, to evade that persuer, atleast if there is a ship fast enough to keep up with the beatrix and forming a threat .

costum guns (smaller ones) woulc be more appropriate I think though.

I intentionally kept the ship low but that also resulted in the ship having no hold, apart from a small 8x8 storage that is not even two bricks deep.

Bazinga! And then there was light, a feature I copied from my old frigate Farore's Wind (though it was better imlemented on that ship).

I now realize the cabin does look a bit unfinished .

Beware when you see this through your monocular...

Perhaps it's time to get this old dusty thing from the shelf and give it another try.

While building the Beatrix I had to strip parts from my old frigate Farore's WInd, perhaps I restore her to a new battleship...

Although I really should dump the prefabs for now, it's time for some serious costum hull ships .

Bazinga, indeed! Ahh, the beauty, I think I even prefer her over Farore's Wind, what I find hard to say, 'cause I'm a real fan of that ship. But the Beatrix is simply splendid! Her colors and lines are a pleasure to look at, and the white hull and sails make her look like a white knight cutting through the waves bringing Bluecoat rule to whoever is foolish enough to oppose it.

I don't mind the rigging not being the best anyone has ever come up with, or a lack of detail on the inside. This ship is just too much eye candy for me to care about that, especially the stern, great choice to change the yellow lines to dark red The rest is - as usual - Sebeus' quality ship building, very well done!! And your sister did a great job as well photoshoping the background, adds a lot of atmosphere to your presentation, chapeau!

And regarding the last two pictures I can't help but go BATTLESHIP BATTLESHIP BATTLESHIP!!! Oh, and yeah, get rid of those prefabs

That two-decked ship on prefabs look very promising, the stern looks quite interesting. A personal opinion here. I support the idea of moving on to other things, such as a two-decked ship or a full-hull or waterline ship. I mean, you've built a ton of fantastic ships of about the size of the Beatrix, and look at her! I think you have explored this genre quite well, you have several one-decked prefab ships that are really good, and the Beatrix is one of them. I'd really like to see ships of other kind from you Or maybe I am wrong and you have to surprise me

(still keep in mind that a full-hull ship is waaaaay more sophisticated, you are going to have a tough time if you decide to build one, maybe that's just one more reason to try it )

Overall an excellent ship. Everything seems so perfect, but I think my favorite part might be the stern chasers. Of course, the stairs and anchors are also excellent. And the stern. Wow, great parts usage. I can't wait to see more from you (maybe that two-decker on a custom hull ).

Not sure what internet browser you use, but I've found that Google Chrome will allow me to copy and paste text while Internet Explorer will not.

I'm planning to convert that full hull ship to a double decker, just have to find some more black slopes first .

I had a rudder but in the end the ship looked better without it.

What are those feathers you used for the stern?

From Pharaoh's quest, these guys used them as wings.

Although I really liked it I never got anything from the series, I bought that part via bricklink.

 Of course she looks, great, I'm sure no one doubted in that? It defiantly e to see something, not just complete, but finished after having been along for her development; keel up, so to speak. Thank you for that. Now, will I ever get the chance to meet her in person?

Also I like the cloth sea, the edges look something like the loom of not too distant land. She appears to making her way out of a deep bay under all plane sail. Off to adventure for sure.

The stern is beautiful.

I would keep the official Lego canons, even though you are right according to their size.

But I think they create the typical Lego feeling. Something my childhood was based on.^^

So for the lower gun decks I would prefer Lego canons most time, while custom canons fit perfactly on the main deck.

Sebus you have outdone yourself again. This new ship is amazing. Again I cant wait to see what your future projects entail.

She looks excellent Sebeus! The doubled decked capstan, lanterns, and staircase are exciting to see in this small space. The stern is quite striking. You've taken the colors in the wings and put them into the ship and made that piece fit so well.

Really nice ship but too thin on the top deck and the riging is just... not enough. Recomend you to do it properly becouse the ship will be way to nicer :)

It is awesome, for sure! It will be one fast ship, I think! I really like the 'glasswork' above the captain's quarters, and think the whole look is very clean. She is well defended from every angle with the quarterdeck stern cannons, also.

Who would ever have thought that a Friends set could actually be useful?

Great use of the Pharao's quest wings. I like all the curves on the ship, the whole shape of it looks so realistic and simply beautiful.

Also, I'm already so excited for the Guilds of Brick Seas .
