Posted June 25, 201410 yr Thanks to some helpful advice, Djun and Lukan managed to find a place to stay to avoid the coming snow storm. -------------------------- Additional Pictures Hope you enjoyed the MOC. As usual C&C is always welcome and appreciated!!!
June 25, 201410 yr Nice build Nightstalker. Though I'd recommend using one of these between the two windows to fill the gap.
June 25, 201410 yr Great build! Nice sloped roof. I do agree about the gaps round the windows though.
June 26, 201410 yr That's a good build. I like it. do agree about the window gap though; even though the gap doesn't look that bad. Edited June 26, 201410 yr by Godtshep
June 26, 201410 yr You managed to give us an idea how the whole house looks like! Very nice job Nightstalker :)

Unfortunately, I don't have that piece in reddish brown or dark brown for that matter. I'm still very limited on pieces.
June 26, 201410 yr Nice build! And I wouldn't really worry about the gaps as I've seen other "expert" builders do it quite a bit without getting any negativity...
June 27, 201410 yr Wow, that's a high ceiling, looks like Djun and Lukan are staying somewhere fancy! I wouldn't worry too much about the gaps at the window, i dare say they wouldn't have been noticed except for that first shot, where you really can't miss them. I get the feeling you could make a workaround to cover them (headlights and cheese perhaps, or even as simple as plates or tiles at the back of the wall) if they bugged you though. Something i would suggest though is selling the story a little better - maybe have the characters sitting on a bench inside the main door, taking off their wet outer layers or being greeted by their host.
June 28, 201410 yr Nice interior work, I don't think that the gaps around the windows is a problem except maybe in the first picture. What bothers me a little however is that we get to see almost the whole build but not all. Cropped closeups are perfectly fine if you ask me but if you are showing the whole build, make sure to show all of it in the picture.
July 6, 201410 yr Excellent woodwork and I really like the rat in the rafters Nice inclusion of the Mitgardian colors in the floor too
July 7, 201410 yr Some nice details here, a very pleasant little build. There are some nice architectural techniques, like the support beams and the ceiling (what a great idea for an inside build!). I agree that the lack of window arches is barely a problem. Gabe mentioned some great workarounds, which is really handy if you're working with colors and the arch pieces are either rare or none-existent. I think what I like most about this build is how you could basically replicate this MOC several times and have a really cool sprawling indoor scene.
