Legocastlegirl Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Hello EB'ers, i finished building my new Set 5378 and i thought i should show you some pics of this really nice set. If the folder is moderated you can find the pics here I have to say it was really fun to built it. Really nice small details, my favourite is the greenhouse with the blackboard. Another nice idea is the cabinet with the broom. It Quote
BearHeart Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Thanks for the pics, I can't wait for this set to show up at my local TRU store. Quote
Quarryman Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Great :-) Been looking forward to seeing pictures of this set, thanks :-) Quote
Khorne Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 The tan is looking kinda weird :-/ , is it the lighting or is it another kind of tan? Do you have the other 2 Hogwarts too? Mind taking a pic of all 3 together if you have them all :-P . Will you post a more in depth picture review later? Quote
alex54 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Thanks Legocastlegirl for those pics! I think that I will buy it! Like you, I really like the greenhouse *wub* Quote

Starwars4J Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 This is a beautiful set! Maybe it's not really entirely my thing (I'm not a HP fan) but it has some really great parts! Like this for example: Is that gold thing a bottle of perfume? I don't think I've ever seen that part before! You're starting to make me regret passing it up at the TRU I was in last week X-D Thanks for the pics Sandra! Quote
Jipay Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I am so going to get that set. All the cool accessories. Like 4j I don't remember seing the bottle of perfume before. How much is the set ? Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Like 4j I don't remember seing the bottle of perfume before. I have about 5 of that type perfume flask. It's in red, though. They come in some frame (like the city tools) with 3 other kinds of bottles. I think it's from the Scala line. :-/ Quote
john cleese Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 overall this is better designed than some of the earlier HP sets however it has such a bland design, and it's tiny too. It has some great parts and such so i might just pick it up. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Thanks for sharing LCG. I really like the trophy room. Quote
Aredhel Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Great pics, Sandra. I think I will buy this set as soon as I have the money... All those details are very cute and I just love the HP sets! -Aredhel Quote
Christian Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Thanks for some nice pictures! I think that the Room of Requirement is a little lame, but the rest is just beautiful and the green house is a really nice touch. I so gonna buy this set soon!... when I have the money ;-) Quote
Legocastlegirl Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 (edited) Is that gold thing a bottle of perfume? I don't think I've ever seen that part before! You're starting to make me regret passing it up at the TRU I was in last week X-D Yeah this gold thing is a bottle of perfume or maybe a bottle of poison. I think it Edited June 3, 2007 by Legocastlegirl Quote
CopMike Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Hi Legocastlegirl! Nice review *y*! This set looks cool - I might just have to get it. It seems smaller than the others (as you mentioned) but more detailed. And I like your Pub MOC *wub*! HP On copmike Quote
Legocastlegirl Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 (edited) News: I made some more pics, they Edited June 3, 2007 by Legocastlegirl Quote
Aredhel Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 So i hope you can see more details now. I especially like the plant, in Germany it Quote
El Bucanero Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 That's a nice set! And a good review too! I'm not such a big fan of HP LEGO, but perhaps I'll eventually buy this one... Yeah this gold thing is a bottle of perfume or maybe a bottle of poison. I think it Quote
Wout Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Nice review! *y* Could you also make a picture of the deatheather without the hood (I questioned myself if its maybe Bellatrix). Are there one or two Mandrakes/Alruinen/Allraunen in the glashouse? Quote
alex54 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Nah, I think it's Umbridge's desk. You're rght, it is. In fact this set has a lot of details, which suit very well with the HP spirit and atmosphere IMO. Quote
Legocastlegirl Posted June 4, 2007 Author Posted June 4, 2007 Nah, I think it's Umbridge's desk. In the tower on the right you see a black broomstick. If you've read HP5 you know that Harry's Firebolt, Umbridge took it from him when he was fighting with Malfoy during a game of Quiditch... Mr Tiber Mr Tiber and Aredhel, thanks.. i Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Wow, this is the best HP set ever! It has fantastic minifigs, very cool details and 2 black skeleton horses! *wub* If I didn't save money for the new SW sets, I would buy that set immediately! This year is very, very expensive... I'm going to buy the MTT, the N-1, JSF, Sith Infiltrator, Hoth Base, Republic Cruiser, the new AT-AT, the 2 new SpongeBob sets and probably this set too! I think I shouldn't calculate how much all these sets cost... I think I would get a heart attack! :-D Quote
SWMAN Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I think HP is a dead theme and lego needs to stop making them. They keep making the castle for every new movie, and it it getting old. Quote
Matt Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I think HP is a dead theme and lego needs to stop making them. They keep making the castle for every new movie, and it it getting old. I disagree. With every new movie that comes out there are new sets with new minifigs and pieces. This is a different part of Hogwarts Castle then previously released. Quote
