Overview To celebrate the coming release of the LEGO® Ideas Exo Suit by Peter Reid, The LEGO Group is teaming up with Eurobricks and we’re going turtle crazy! We invite you to build the coolest tiny turtle you can and submit it to our Turtle Competition! You can win a signed copy of the Exo Suit, a very cool Exo Suit t-shirt or maybe your turtle will be on an exclusive turtle poster that will be given only to those whose turtles are included or who attend the fan event at Skærbæk in September. The competition will begin July 15, 2014 and ends September 1, 2014. How to enter To enter, you have to create a turtle using non-licensed LEGO® bricks. You submit photos of your turtle, which must fit on an 8x8 stud plate to the Eurobricks forum where the competition is held. You must be a member of Eurobricks to enter – see how you can sign up for free at www.eurobricks.com. Entries cannot be revised or altered once submitted. How to win Every person can submit more entries to the challenge, but only one (1) entry per person will be considered when the final winners are selected. The winners (first, second and third place) and runners-up will be selected initially in a voting round by member of Eurobricks, with the final winners being chosen by a jury consisting of Peter Reid, creator of the Exo Suit, Mark Stafford, LEGO Designer responsible for the final model and Karen Frost Sørensen, LEGO Ideas Project Manager. The winning entries will be judged by the jury upon: • Overall coolness and creativity • Inspired originality • Uniqueness We want you to make your turtle as amazing as possible. However, you need to consider the following when creating your turtle: • Turtles containing or depicting military vehicles or weapons will not be eligible for the competition • Turtles containing defamatory or degrading elements will not be eligible for the competition • Copies of/or in other ways infringements relating to any existing third party property or any other intellectual property right will not be eligible for the competition • Use of any toy parts not produced by the LEGO Group will result in your turtle being disqualified • Entry turtles should show your creation only, and should not show recognizable features of any person or any commercial product other than LEGO Products • Entries that are obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, pornographic, lewd, derogatory, inappropriate, or otherwise not in good taste, as determined by the LEGO Group in their sole discretionwill not be eligible for the competition. The judging will begin August 25, 2014 and ends September 1, 2014. The odds of winning will depend on the skill and talent of the entrant, and on the number of eligible contest entries received during each contest period. The winner will be contacted directly by The LEGO Group. Prize Details Prizes will be awarded as follows. 1st prize - Signed Exo Suit set and exclusive T shirt 2nd prize - Signed Exo Suit set 3rd prize - Exclusive t-shirt Runners-up (# to be decided based on response) will be included on a poster. The poster will be sent to all of those whose turtle makes the poster and will also be distributed as an exclusive gift at the LEGOFan Event in Skærbæk Denmark in September. The top prize has a maximum total estimated price value $50 retail. Who May Participate Open to all persons 18 years of age or older as of the competitions closing date, except for residents ofCuba, Iran, North Korea, Myanmar/Burma, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Syria, Argentina, Quebec any other U.S. sanctioned country and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of companies in the LEGO Group, agencies and companies associated with the LEGO Group, e.g. suppliers related to the product line and the immediate families of such employees are not eligible contestants. Intellectual property rights By entering this competition you accept that the ownership and all intellectual property rights to your entryare automatically awarded and transferred to LEGO SystemA/S, Aastvej1, 7190 Billund, Denmark without any limitations. You will not receive any payment for the transfer of your entry or any intellectual property rights, nor will you receive any payment for any products that may be sold in connection hereto. Any Winner who does not return the properly completed documentation within ten (10) days of transmittal will be declared ineligible, and an alternate Winner will be selected. Any Winner who declines to accept a prize, has violated any of these Official Rules, does not respond to the award notification within the specified time, or is found to be ineligible will be disqualified and an alternative Winner shall be chosen. All prizes to be awarded. In no case will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. The LEGO Group reserves the right to alter, amend or close this Competition if necessary.
