vmln8r Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) It's got the same functionality as this one ('cept without Power Functions). There's 189 parts in all (cf. set #8009). There are two control knobs at the rear (the head spins manually). One deploys the third leg, tilts the chassis forward and keeps the legs level: The other deploys and operates a grabber arm: The Rest: Guts: Sorry these parts aren't nicely arranged; time has been pretty tight. Hopefully they are all discernible (if not, here's a cobbled together LDD file): Edited July 31, 2014 by VMLN8R Quote
PROlego Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Like it! Maybe needs some micro panels to fill some gaps but I don't know if they're in white. Both functions seem to work great. Quote
vmln8r Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Thank you! 'Twas a pain to fill in the back area. Those 9L links move as the third leg is deployed, to keep the feet balanced; unfortunately that means the central has only 5 studs of clearance. Quote
grum64 Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 I'm a big Star Wars fan & I like this very much Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Nice functionality! Maybe you could use some studded rounded pieces for the head? Quote
vmln8r Posted July 31, 2014 Author Posted July 31, 2014 Thanks to you all :) Zblj; considered some options like that, but didn't want to System it up too much, to keep in consistent with most similarly-sized sets. Quote
