Sandy Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Greetings, fellow players of Heroica RPG! Our game has run for three full years this August, and thanks to that belongs to all of you. These past three years have been an amazing experience for me as the creator and manager of this game; to see something that came from my own head thrive and evolve into an experience enjoyed by over a hundred people is beyond incredible. The best part is that there's no end in sight! Of course, Heroica RPG will end at some point, as all things do, but for now we don't have to worry about it. The community is still alive and kicking, the quests we have created and participated in number in well over a hundred now, and we are still experimenting with new things to make the game even better. Now, I have a few announcements to make: - The annual Anniversary Lottery has launched. You have until the 10th of August to sign up to win some amazing in-game prizes. - The following people have earned the right to bear the awe-inspiring Heroica Tag for their contributions to this game in the past year: emjajoas Flare joeshmoe554 Kintobor Pyrovisionary The Legonater Congratulations, and a heartfelt thank you for everything you've done - and will do - for this game! The same thanks go to everyone else who are already boasting the tag. - Recently, there was discussion about the second character that dedicated players could add into the game at some point. It was suggested that the method of gaining said character would be changed. I am happy to announce that now you can add a second character if your original character has participated in at least 15 quests (no matter if it's successful, failed or cancelled - and individual trips to the Fields of Glory are counted as well) or you have hosted at least 5 quests yourself. The character must start from Level 1 with a basic job class, but there are no other requirements for the second character anymore, they can be whatever you like them to be. That means some of you may create your second character today, if you wish! - A Heroica RPG Wiki has been recently launched to store information about the game in an easily navigatable form. Seriously though, this has been so awesome! I've only been here for 2 months, and I'm totally loving it. That's really good to hear! New players are a big part of what keeps this going. It's not easy establishing yourself when the game is so full of lore and characters and an already-established player base, but I'm really glad when new players just keep trying and eventually become prominent characters. Purpearl and Matthias have both become fleshed-out even though they've only been on a few quests, and brand new characters like Actaeon are already starting to impress! So: keep it up! Quote
