DETERMINE THE HAVEN GUARD FLAG

Those who wish to participate should first read the

Design a NEW Pirate Sub-Theme Project Overview thread.

Objective

This is a poll to determine the most appropriate flag for the Haven Guard faction <- you may wish to read that thread for background information.

What to do

• Visit our Flag Generator and experiment with different combinations of flag backgrounds and embelems.
  
• Copy & paste the BBcode which appears beneath the generated flag and post it in this thread.
  You may select upto three different flag combinations. For example:
  
  
• Provide additional comments or suggestions regarding the Haven Guard flag (also posted in this thread).
  
• Take time to consider the Merchants flag as it will be related to the final Haven Guard flag.
  We have already agreed the emblem on the Merchants flag should be the same as the emblem on the sail of the small vessel included with the Imperial Trading Post
  You may select this emblem for the Haven Guard flag or select an emblem you think will compliment it.
  

What happens next?

• After the the poll closes we shall count the flag submissions and the flag combination with the most votes shall be selected as the Haven Guard flag.
  
• If two or more flag combinations receive an equal number of majority votes, another poll will be conducted to determine the most suitable of those combinations.
  
• Once the Haven Guard flag is selected another poll will be conducted to determine the Merchant's flag.
  
• If anyone would like to contribute vectorization skills, preferably in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, please post an expression of interest here.

I don't know if I could vote or not... but this is (to me) the best flag for a lot of reasons:

White background with the two thin dk orange lines and the muskeet pattern.

I vote for...

Shame it isnt four votes per person. Now I had to make some tough choices...

I prefer the new cannon option because it is unique from the the redcoats cannons and the bluecoats cannons. it seems to me the Haven Guard shoudn't use another faction's particular style of cannons.

These are my two favorites. I think a flag containing more white than orange fits better to the selected torsos.

Im new to the Classic-Pirate world, what exactly is the Haven Guard?

I propose this type due to the relation of the Haven Guard to the Dutch .

The background being the base of the Dutch flag.

The crown being the constitutional monacrchy and ;

The barrel , to symbolize the Dutch influence on merchant trade.

I agree although I'd go for the vertical stripes to further distinguish it form the Imperial Guards flag, I.e.

So far the below flag has the most votes but the insignia is too similar to the Imperial Guard's flag for my liking.
