mccoyed Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Kind of a trifle I put together a long time ago and forgot to post/photograph. The concept is an alabaster statue of a nature god (origins unknown!) standing before a white-barked, red-leafed tree kind of like a Weirwood from Game of Thrones. Quote
Hobbythom Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 This looks great. Would look great on top of a tall pillar! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Looks pretty cool- although the statue gets a bit lost in the tree. Quote
TheRedViper Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Nice, I immediately thought of a Weirwood when I saw this! Quote
Scaevola Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Looks pretty good, I like the statue, but it would be better if the tree was a different color (light grey?) so it would not distract from the statue. Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Beautiful MOC and I love the use of BrickWarriors' parts! Quote
mccoyed Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 This looks great. Would look great on top of a tall pillar! True. Thanks! Looks pretty cool- although the statue gets a bit lost in the tree. Yeah. Not sure I'd do it the same next time! Nice, I immediately thought of a Weirwood when I saw this! Thanks! Looks pretty good, I like the statue, but it would be better if the tree was a different color (light grey?) so it would not distract from the statue. Yup. The irony is that if I was using my old lights, it would look much better haha. But really, the colors are too close. I think I would try and build the tree around the statue more next time, like the statue is carved from the tree. Beautiful MOC and I love the use of BrickWarriors' parts! Thanks! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Really cool statue The tree is also excellent, those dark red leaves are really handy Quote
mccoyed Posted August 6, 2014 Author Posted August 6, 2014 Thanks guys. I am definitely thinking about making a full MOC around this concept, especially since I now have a wider variety of colors for tree leaves. Quote
Gunman Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Sweet statue there dude... I agree with the mix with the tree. Make a big moc around it :) Quote
mccoyed Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Yeah. Hopefully with less grainy pictures too! Quote
Gideon Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 Lovely statue and nice tree! I agree however that they would have been better separately. Quote
Maxim I Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 The statue looks very cool, only remark is that the tree should have been another colour :) Quote
