He was the 2nd generation of corn farmers to work this land. He had improved his father’s work by building a small mill on the property. This meant they could harvest the corn and grind it without having to haul it around in wagons. OoC: I thought about adding more brown plates inbetween the corn stalks, but felt that the straight green gave a better feel to the build. Let me know what you think! Yzalirk Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 It looks nice but why is the corn unshucked in the field? Quote
Hammerhand Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Nice, I like the scythe and the corn stalks! Quote
markus1984 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 aha, you also build here and at Sone? Have too much time  . Nice vignette! markus Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Good corn design and I really like that sickle I think brown, dark brown, or even black might work better than green for the ground under the corn, if you're going for a realistic look Quote
MKJoshA Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 Nice, I like the scythe and the corn stalks! Nice- cool scythe! Nice scythe MK...! Lovely entry there,,! Nice, good scythe and cornfield Thanks guys! I thought about using the normal scythe design like Lego had for the Scarecrow. But then I stumbled across the Mummy sword in my pieces and thought it'd look cooler. Glad you all agree! aha, you also build here and at Sone? Have too much time  . Nice vignette! markus It's not too much time, it's just efficient use of time Also, my wife was out of town this past week so I had to fill the hours with something and ended up building a lot of MOCs. Good corn design and I really like that sickle I think brown, dark brown, or even black might work better than green for the ground under the corn, if you're going for a realistic look Yes, I guess that's true. Maybe I should have spent as much time experimenting with the colors as I did with the scythe! Quote
Maxim I Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Very cool cornfield!! I also love how you did the Scyther! Quote
