HorcikDesigns Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Well, just try to proove (in the age of that Big-UCS-model madness), that I can build one with steering using my bricks that left after assembling LTTT Tatra T815TP (second generation) and mid-scale Offroader (I'll submit both of them later). So, enjoy. ;) Full album: https://www.flickr.c...57646836441037/ And finally, the steering: Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The more people make steerable Tumblers, the more obvious it is that TLG got lazy. IMO Quote
Lakop Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Your steering is the same as mine. Though I came up with the idea for a bike. Surprised the official tumbler does not steer. I will have to make one myself. H Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Thank you guys! Here I add little bonus: (my drawing of the Bugbler - crossover of Tumbler and VW bug) http://horcikdesigns.deviantart.com/art/The-Bugbler-Batmobile-volksrod-480386254?ga_submit_new=10%253A1409914388 Quote
Rishab N Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Nice work! I have to agree with Horace T, TLG just got lazy Quote
750ACE Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The more people make steerable Tumblers, the more obvious it is that TLG got lazy. IMO I believe TLG had the goal in mind to create a display model. And of course a moc of this size and small weight should steer without any issues. The size and weight of the new tumbler would probably have issues even if TLG came up with a solution. Back on topic... great moc!! Quote
miguev Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Wonderful! I think I'll try to build one for my little one/s to play :) Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 No suspension? Nice shape though Yes, no suspension (I see, unfortunatelly). I have no small shocks left :D Thanks anyway ;) Quote
mysteriouspi Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 This is really neat. The system section at the back clashes a wee bit with the rest of the model but that's not much of a problem. Really like the aesthetics, the angles of the model, and of course the steering. (Poor TLG will never hear the end of it from AFOLs!) Quote
timslegos Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Impressive steering lock, and nice lines too. tim Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Thank you. ;) @mysteriouspi - using system bricks was for me the only chance to chatch the "right" (hopefully) angles ;) Quote
Black-Build Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Very cool small build, I recently made a Tumbler aswell Also, your drawing-skills are extremely good! Quote

Tony Stark Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Great job! I love this creation! Quote

UCS sets typically have some functionality... Like the Imperial Shuttle's folding wings or Artoo's legs, head and armature. Gzzig, any chance you'll put this on Ideas or make instructions? Quote
HorcikDesigns Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Thanks. @Rollermonkey - Instructions? Maybe, I don't promise to make them ASAP, but it isn't bad idea. ;) Quote
Jim Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 That's an awesome rendition of the Tumbler! And your art skills are outstanding. Now I dare you to make the Bugler with LEGO Some partial disassembled pictures will probably suffice to build this little bad boy Quote

I'll submit photos from disassembling and LDD soon. :D (I know, I contradict a bit (my previous answer here), but I had time, so I decieded to make them and share :) ) @building-the-Bugbler - maybe later, now I have not enough black pieces Quote

swisstechnic Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Very nice Tumbler! I love the simplicity in this one! I've built one too, funny how so many Tumblers are popping up.:D Quote
