Very nice BrickCurve! The wanderer has a nice home base. I especially like the vegetation, which gets a +1 from me. Some things to think about: those lower floor windows are very easy to enter for a bad guy army, if that fails they could swarm up the ivy, so there might need to be some back story that the walls are no longer defensive because of the glorious peaceful nature of the island or whatnot. Also the color blocking on the walls is nicely varied as you intended, but generally real buildings use color variation either as quite geometric decoration, or in patched up walls from different time periods. You might like to experiment with different color patterns on this round wall technique. I realise the cylinders are limiting your color usage. Have a think about how you could put some nice little scenes in the back ofthe towers. Great build.

True and good advice, but I would like to see an attacking army attempt to get through the small window with an archer on the other side, (not to mention that they wouldn't fit through the window). I have considered getting dark tan textured bricks as well, although I haven't got around to ordering them.

Nice tower mate, if you are open to CC I would advice you not to use stems on all ground. Make variations

Definitely a good idea although i'm not sure what to put there instead.

Bare dirt in patches, maybe some water, or leaf peaces work nicely for thick vegetation.

Looks very good! However I think that the vines growing in the same spot on each side makes it look too symmetrical. Maybe make on shorter than the other and don't have the guards on top of the wall be symmetrical.

Very nice gate and towers, I especially like how you've managed to roof them so well :classic:

Those tan round bricks by the gate would have been better spent breaking up the symmetry in the towers however imho, as the bands of dk bley cylinders draw my attention to the building technique used instead of just letting me enjoy the excellent shape of the towers.

UoP +1 for grasslands.

I would add a mix of tan sand and bley rock structure, especially since you're using tan (very effectively too!) as a major wall color. Some more tan on the ground would I think better sell the typical Kaliphlin landscape.

Also, easy on the pictures... when I have to scroll through pics that are about 66% of the thread and I'm posting reply 16, I have to believe you've overdone it. Posting 1-3 pictures and then a link to the gallery is fine.

Looking good for sure! The grassy area in front of the wall is a great touch according to me!

The minifigs could use some more posings! Right now they all look in the same direction (and it´s not towards the rider leaving).

Arrow slits on the first floor is rare, archers from the attacking side coulkd easily get near and kill the defenders..

Nice work BrickCurve, this is a pretty little scene. I think the color scheme works well and the overall design is simple but elegant. I too like the grassy area but maybe a small boulder or two would have broken things up a bit. The advice given above is all really good and could help you turn this into a really first-rate MOC. As it is, the build is just a little too symmetrical (even the figs are standing in the same spots) and could use some variation here and there. In any case, good job!
