Based on the set numbers you gave and that they're retiring soon, I'm guessing you actually mean 41017-41019, the Series 1 foil bags (Squirrel's Tree House, Cat's Playground, Turtle's Little Oasis). These have been at my local Walmart for some time. Last I checked though they had only a few left and they threw them in with a box of other Friends polybags on the Friends shelves. I saw Series 1 at Shopko at one point, though I couldn't say if they still have them. I also saw at least 4 brand new cases of Series 1 at a Smith's Marketplace last week. Smith's Marketplace is a Kroger's affiliate, as is Fred Meyers, so if you have one of those near you that would be the place to check.

You probably meant you'd like to see the parts in the parts catalog in a variety of colors all at once, but one thing you are able to do is change the all of the parts in the parts catalog from red to any other color. Just select a new color from the Color Palette. It looks like a speech balloon with a red, yellow, and blue 1x1 brick and is located just below the words "LEGO Universe" at the top of the parts catalog. Personally, I'm still trying to figure out the Decoration tool. For the life of me, I can't get it to do anything. [EDIT] Never mind, I guess I was trying to use it only on parts that can't be decorated.

LEGO is supposed to be used as an attributive noun. LEGO is the brand, not any tangible item, and is used to describe a noun, such as LEGO piece, LEGO element, LEGO set, LEGO brick, and so on. You wouldn't say "LEGOS" because that implies LEGO is a physical object that there can be a piece of. It's the brick, set, factory, headquarters, and so on that are the physical items; LEGO is just the brand of these items.

Add my name to the petition. I don't understand why on earth LEGO would think the US wants a rehashed City Advent Calendar every year and not something new. My local toy shop quit carrying Advent Calendars several years ago, saying that they were just the same thing year after year and there wasn't enough interest. If LEGO would release an Advent Calendar each year to go along with a different theme that's new and/or popular that year, I bet they'd see there's a great demand for it. I think the Pirates theme is great, and I'd buy at least two Pirate Advent Calendars just for myself as well as some more as gifts for my nephews.

1,525 sets (963 unique), 330,612 parts, 2,250 minifigs. I've kept track of everything on a spreadsheet since I started collecting in 2000. I also use and love Peeron because it lets me see how many of each part I have and in what colors.

As Freddie said, the new caps are available from PaB online in red: I always wondered why it showed a red cap and blue cap as not available and another red cap and blue cap as available. I would have thought that one style would be available in both colors, but the ones it shows available are the old blue cap and the new red cap.
