Pirate Outpost WIP
Here's the interior with the back roofing torn off - I also added a chandelier and a map plaque on the second floor wall; I took the tiling off of the main dock and used it to finish the flooring of the first and second floors. Here you can see the bed more easily: Close-up: I will overhaul the first building and its interior/roof over the next few days, and then place the minifigures. -Cook

Pirate Outpost WIP
Well, I've been able to do some more work on the new structure tonight - here are some updated photos. Crazy roof: Tiled most of the first floor with planks - I'm waiting on a small order of about 200 more brown tiles to finish the flooring of both buildings: Fire beacon with fire: The right side - changed the awnings: The back; the first floor looks a little spacious and boring, but I plan on adding plenty of minifigures to it in the next few days: The second floor brothel - I wish I had a better photo of this - there's actually a really detailed bed, a stool, and two dressers in here (this also obviously needs tiling, and I dropped a roof brick in here): Enjoy the photos; I think that the first building needs some sprucing up compared to this new one. -Cook

Here's an update; built up the new structure and added the rope bridge: The right side of the new structure: The front of the new structure: Some nice details: Rope bridge close-up: Zoomed out: Fireplace: Enjoy the photos; I'm still waiting on a huge order of bricks that will allow me to build the second floor and roof of the new structure. -Cook

Pirate Outpost WIP
Here's something I've been working on for the last couple of days; it still needs a lot of work, and I'm planning on adding a second structure to the right portion of the baseplate scheme, along with some rope bridges; the from tower I took from "Lord of the Rings" - it is a fire beacon for pirate vessels, and will go along nicely with the mammoth ship that I plan on building in the next few months. Anyway, here's some photos of it (forgive the mess - it's trashed with other bricks). Chaining a skeleton to the tower proved to be very difficult - lots of bad words before it was done LOL. The back: I need to change the stairs piece to a brown one - I just ordered a bunch of bricks from Pick-a-brick, and will have more photos soon; I also need to add furniture and tile the interior with brown tiles (wood flooring): Here's an easy way to make a REAL rope bridge from 100% LEGO parts, although it is only just over 10 studs in length: The ventral studs trap the net and prevent it from slipping off of the tiles: -Cook

Hello!
Hello! I am an American who loves LEGOs and hopes to be on par with you Europeans in his designs - it's nice to be a part of this forum - your artwork is wonderful and I am honored to see it. -Cook

Some cool stuff
I'm glad you all like it - I'm right now building a crazy huge pirate outpost with a fire beacon - will have photos in the next few weeks. In a few months, all of you will be able to see a ship that I have been planning for quite some time - a pirate vessel more than worthy of the "Imperial Flagship" that's currently available from LEGO. -Cook

Some cool stuff
Hello, I am new on here - I've been a big fan of LEGO sets since a very young age, and plan on building some much larger pirate scenes in the coming months - here is my meager pirate scene. http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/8540/piratevillage1.jpg http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/9565/piratevillage2.jpg http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/2976/piratevillage3.jpg http://img532.imageshack.us/img532/756/piratevillage4.jpg http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/3579/piratevillage5.jpg And here is another small outpost with a WIP sitting next to it: http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/6489/piratevillage6.jpg A close-up of my first outpost: http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/5184/piratevillage7.jpg A little bit wider view: http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/3271/piratevillage8.jpg Hope you all enjoy the photos.
