  1. SPACE MARINES! I love the curves and rounds on the back for the engines. Man if I built that I'd be flying it around my living room strafing the cat and annoying the wife and kids... Those forward guns would blast the tyranid hordes to hell. Pew pew pew... is it built?
  2. Sweet ship. Nice use of the rotating ball and socket joints. It looks mean. Kudos.

Yeah. A proper lego designed version would be fun. If they could make articulated legs at this scale I would be stoked! A few more pieces than the micro fighter sets but I've not done a piece count og this baby yet. Lego could do a better design then mine (which is based on Angus') I'm sure. I love the AT-AT so I'm very biased but I think it would be a decent set for lego to do - not as big or expensive as the full lego AT-AT set (even that is not to scale) and a nice size (the big one looks like it will fall and is a bit pricey for most). The detail and cuteness are just right at this scale. I am keen to get some of the mircofighters. The X-wing looks great. Some purists seem to despair at the new mini's but given that lego figs and vehicles have always been kinda Chibi (one seat cars etc) I think embracing Chibi for star wars vehicles is perfectly acceptable.

KENADA!!!!! that bike rocks, Smooth and sweet.. In awe.
  5. Thanks. I have more pics on flickr. The underside of MK2 is black tank treads - there is a clear picture of that on flickr. I used white mainly because that was the box I had on hand when the urge to build one hit. I remember playing with this mini rig as a kid in the 80's, but I never owned one. The cannons are independant - I missed that detail. The mini-rigs were great fun even if they weren't in the films.I have fondest memories of the Empire ones...The slopes at the front made me go SNOT - well picked up. It's flipped half way to make the cockpit (the dome is a pain to work with - it is a vertical not horizontal peice) and again at the back. I used the blueprints as the design..Now that I look at it I did mess up the treads... oh well MK 3 maybe..
  6. Argh I am an idiot! Details uploaded...

Yeah. He stands uncertainly under the legs of the lego company AT-AT on my desk - like a baby elephant and its mum. Just loved the design when I first saw it so had to copy it.

  9. Wow! Very impressive. Great bit of greebling with the rocks. Love the green river. And the bridge is wonderful. The skeleton is a nice touch too.
  10. So the version with the rebel soldior was Mk1. The dj one is version 2 with treads. I prefer MK1.

A Little Interior Shot. Always planned on using the 30 hula skirts I bought but never got around to it... Duplo wallpaper... :) Not a patch on Bill Vollbrecht's: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=143746
  19. Brilliant MOC - the bar is excellent. You hit the right tone with the minifigs too.

Thhis is a fantastic build. Great job!
  21. Chuckle. Hmmm. The Oola figure screamed for bright colours. I got the bright pink lego off Bricklink. But now you mention it some of the Friends colours are just so striking and fun. Maybe everyone should get some Friends lego.
  22. Went nuts and made a whole pile of these... here is Oola's and Larry Uk Uk the Tuskan Raiders one. Oola's is not really a MOC given it is so blatently based on the NYCC 2012 exlusive lego speeder. But I do like playing with colours now... and it is the best alternative colour scheme in my opinion. So where did Luke's chibi speeder end up after he sold it to go look for Princess Leia? There are any number of theories. Did a Classic Space guy buy it? Bib Fortuna...? I reckon Oola bought it. She tinted the windows, painted it pink and decked it out with gold chains... She threads the stone needle with this pimped up puppy every day... well maybe not. Well I guess this is a MOC: More pics of alternat versions here: http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/
  23. Wow. I love this. The sets are great. I just got Jabbas palace. It feels small. Already I want to make it bigger... Get the band and cronies in there and put more rock on it. The way you've done the exterorior lanscaping is eic and interior rocks. Two Rancor pits huh? With four... Maybe not ;) great job. Inspiring.
