This is absolutely awesome. Hopefully we will get some variety of Resistance equipment later this year for the new movie.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if they did something like the galactic space battle or whatever they called the set with the vulture droids and Anakin/Obi-Wan Jedi interceptor. That was priced relatively high and had three maybe four ships in it. This time around to hit that price point they could do an Advanced, TIE, and A wing for $120. It seems unlikely considering how expensive the sets have become, the TIE Advance we have to assume is $40 alone, $30 A wing and who knows what else. Final $30 for a couple exclusive figs I guess.
  3. Either way this is awesome. You did a great job capturing the overall feel and sleekness of the ship. Great work.
  4. Lego really seems to focus on the battle of Hoth line the last three years. This UCS set is kind of a bummer unless there is a new AT-ST, if they're going to do ESB they've really neglected the latter half of the movie. A new Bespin Luke would be great. When I initially heard the Carbon Freezing Chamber was coming out I was hopeful, but I just find it to be disappointing. UCS cloud city scene, in my opinion, would be such a great set. Just surprised they have not capitalized on the potential.
  5. I wish Lego would release these in the US before Christmas but I understand the logic. After seeing TFA I want all of these, I vowed not to buy them but as usual there is absolutely no way I'll be able to control it. I'm curious what summer wave will look like. Second half of rebels or more focused on TFA. I don't recall a ton of vehicles like the previous films but definitely expect a normal TIE and X Wing.
  6. I haven't yet - I will give that a shot to see if it works. As far as the wing goes, the break begins at the engine almost as if it is too heavy for the hinges. I will see where it goes after the hinges are added, hopefully that will make a difference.
  7. Right now I am having an issue with the lower wing sagging. I'm going with more of the Lego style wing, did you adjust the bottom wing for weight savings to keep it flush?

Ok great. I'll definitely have to give you credit whenever I complete it. Haven't even taken mine out of the box yet. Thank you!

This is great. I didn't even think about doing this but I definitely am now. When you did the head to fit the extra pilot, how much modding did that take? Trying to get an idea how much money I'll have to spend getting mine tiled up
  10. This is incredible! Love the rock-work. Great to see another CW MOC out. Awesome job.
  11. There are a few things that I would definitely consider. The figures have been the main draw for me so that's great, but the combination of different slopes, rods, trans clear parts and plates have been a great added bonus. If you buy the parts individually you could get them cheaper than $10 but wouldn't get the figure. The Millenium Falcon was a great set. Snowspeeder was good too. When the ISD was out it had some good gray parts for a rock wall I was working on which was an added bonus. Falcon would be the way to go for starters, in my opinion.
  12. Had a great May the 4th this weekend. Picked up the micro snowspeeder, another x wing, tie interceptor, and arc 170. Also got the advanced prototype and the b-wing, plus Admiral Yularen. I'm really enjoying these micro fighters for the figures and parts, I haven't built a single one but as a parts pack they have been perfect, especially for the large MOC I've been working on.
  13. I heard Netflix is trying to bring him and the team on. That would be a huge pickup for them. Took advantage of thr double points this month and got the 911, LaFerrari and GT. Being s huge car guy and a stickler for accuracy I was pretty skeptical about these at first but these are great, especially the 911. Already ordered some parts to build a red 911 in similar fashion but minus the wing. Debating if I want to see if I can go a little retro to a 1987 look with that deck wing hanging off the rear. I will probably post some pictures once it's done.
  14. Finally got the AT-AT after months of debate. It's my first one so I'm looking forward to it.
  15. Just picked this up last week and while Iit is a great set it leaves a lot to be desired. Your moc is great, I definitely plan on using some of your concepts on my own build. Thanks for posting this in detail!
  16. Thanks for the review. This is definitely a cool set and we finally get a new Dewback and Greedo, but if they included an additional part to the Cantina I would be willing to spend $99 on this one. I guess we will have to settle for two to make a more "complete" cantina.
  17. Least favorite has to be anything recent. I'm old school. I can certainly appreciate the detail and they look incredible, but nothing was more groundbreaking for lego than the first wave of star wars sets. I was 11 when they came out and they still are so cool to me. Favorite: Bespin Luke Skywalker.
  18. I disagree, I think the line just beginning 99-03 maxed out the possibilities with the pieces they had. In retrospect, they aren't too great but the classics are great. The AT-ST (2000) was pretty horrible on a new level though.
  19. I actually really like it. I haven't seen a version of this from the end of Ep. III. It looks great in all grey, and it comes from, what was in my opinion, a very emotional part of the movie and entire saga. Something about seeing the complete destruction of the Republic was very heart wrenching (don't judge!)
  20. Ultimate is an understatement, this is phenomenal.
  21. Thanks for the great review, KDM! I have to say though, as we get further and further away from 1999 and the original releases, the more I miss the old sets and their simplicity. It almost feels (to me at least) that these new super detailed sets are taking away from the Lego itself. Maybe I am crazy, but I almost feel like the imagination is going away and being replaced with things like flick fires! I still remember running around my parents as a little kid with the original X-Wing shooting "proton torpedoes" down the Death Star exhaust port. Oh, those were the days! Besides my mini rant, cool set though! Love the rebreathers.
  22. Seriously... This is incredible I may need to take a shot at this as well. Sweet work, thanks for sharing. This one is definitely one of the best modifications/MOCs I have seen. Nice work.

I can't think of a more appropriate builder to tackle this project. I think I speak for the masses when I say this will be incredible!
  24. Honestly, I don't know how you do it. This is by far above and beyond the best MOC I have ever seen. The detail and skill are unparalleled. I am in awe to what you've done to this one. Incredible job.
  25. If they did drop the line to make room for SW in buyers wallets, that was a serious roll of the dice although it did pay off. I think in the sales rooms there were talks of nixing it because I think towards the end the line really lacked the feel of the earlier sets. I'm not much a fan of the sets from 1996 and beyond. Pretty much anything past the Islanders. Rock Island Refuge and El Dorado Fortress were some of the most awesome sets Lego came out with for Pirates and I don't know if anything competed. Also, one of the last sets "Pirates Perilous Pitfall" almost felt like a goodbye. The title alone says it all in my honest opinion.
