Nice pickup! The Tower of Orthanc arrived on my doorstep on Tuesday but waiting for the weekend to build it. I'd say get Helms Deep. Orthanc will probably be produced until this summer (May-June) while the Deep is getting difficult to find. Plus who doesn't want an awesome castle?

You could try to use the round tower techinque and use brown bricks. With enough SNOT it could turn out pretty cool.

I know they won't do it plus the it'd go over my $5/fig goal, but a $12.99 Gondor soldier vs Orc set could be a pretty cool idea for an army builder.

Hey does anyone know if they stopped producing the Tower of Orthanc? The price on amazon skyrocketed to $300 USD and it went up $30 on TRU. Didn't know if this is just the holiday rush or if I should pick it up now before it gets even more expensive.

I think the green plate not being pushed makes it seem like a small mound and really gives the ground some more texture. Awesome build.

Wow everything in this scene looks awesome! Just reread the trilogy so this scene really brings it to life for me.I like the ruined pillar work and the base looks very nice.

That's a crazy MOC you got there. I love all of the intricate details of the flora, nice variety that really brings the whole scene to life. Really like the tilt to the house itself and Radagast's sled. You could even do the scene from the movie using the MIrkwood spiders crawling all over it.

I checked my TRU yesterday and no polybags yet. They have everything else on the shelf except the Dul Guldor Battle.

I was very hesitant about the gunship in concept but I think it turned out pretty well. Also those shock troopers look amazing. I wasn't a fan of the EP3 troopers but I'll definately pick some of these up.

Only thing I saw is you have all of the wargs in Attack of the Wargs instead of having the brown warg in Mirkwood Elf Army. Other than that awesome list!

I just bought lake town chase and when I got there they had all of them on the shelves so I couldn't pass them up. Ended up coming home with mirkwood elf army and the dul guldur ambush. Can't wait to build all of these!

So you were able to get them? I'm putting in my order for store pick up and I'll see if I can get them after work. I'll check back in with results.

Wow that Green Dragon is pretty impressive. Looks like excellent scaling. Is there any interior? Looking forward to seeing how you connect it to your Bag End.

O god my credit card just jumped out of my wallet! Thats a pretty reasonable deal if you want to get them at release. Might have to pick up a few but wait to get the rest once they drop in price on amazon.
