Yeah, guns&grenades are from brickarms, those NVG(nighvision googles) are from brickforge nad lastly that visor(last page) is from hazel(at least he used that name, im not sure if he still sells this). Nice vigg, like the scenary(big hole in shape of 'bot) and overall feling.Also story in great,you could evolve it into comic too.

Simple yet effective and good lookin' too.I like the style;to use ball instead of wheel/tyre. Also canopy works perfect on this MOC.From where is "ball"?

I've grown up with those block sets around me, so its a bit of sentimental value. I like those sets JUST BECAUSE they are BLOCKY, all those oval shapes make me fell sick. SP III failed (in my eyes) in term of non consistant build up(base looks strange, that cell transporter looks weird, even flagship have its own faults - oky oky im picky i know), lack of airtanks, lack of proper ENEMY (where are blacktrons?!)... I dont say its JUST WORST theme ever released, but they arent up to glory of older sets.

Atlantis line looks rather nice, but the design of subs doesnt look good for me.Waaaay back we had aquanauts with their gorgeous submarines in YELLOW color(who doesnt love subs in yellow?), and now we have red with grey and trans neon green? But i do LIKE new minifigs(from divers with their diving suit-which looks great for space walks too, fantasy oriented enemies(shark man and manta are so nice), maybe there isnt enought sets to judge theme so fast. Power miners indeed look great(if you're kid :P) with vivid colors and with many play functions(late models). BEN 10? whats that?! Bionicle and hero factory are the same(although bionicle had backstory and was quite popular) in way of building. Some Bionicle could be integrated in more SCI FI oriented moc(with evn few minis to acompany big bot), but other than that i dont see point of bionicle.

I've recently finally bought last missing set from M:tron line, and i must say that i miss "good old days". I've always liked them for their civilian role and great sets(mega core and particle ionizer are my favorite). I would be more than happy to see them in new sets, and im sure many others would be happy too. I dont see problem with blactron reintegration in current lego space at all. Those villains wore BT uniforms(slightly modified but still), so they could be just street thugs or something like that(trying to impress others with allegiance to blacktrons). I just hope if they'll ever reintroduce blacktrons, that they will use default color scheme(black/yellow with possible tr yellow windshields and visors)and not some other. This way SP III would get worthy opponent and AFOL would be happy to see blacktrons(and also have police vs. bad guys just like 20 years ago).

Well maybe i've overreacted with WORST, but still I think that older set were better(overall), though SP III have some great sets too(5973 is one of better, also K9 bot seems kinda cute).

I still rather see single set(only one faction), but good one, than two fractions in single set, but "just usual" appearance(model). As for Mtrons and SP's(old ones):show me better set in SP III line(released till now) that can compare to Mega core magnetizer. Sure they didnt offer that much playability as new SP line, but dont forget that, those sets are like 20 years old. From point of visual appearance i say that old space sets were much better(ice planet spaceship, exploriens spaceship, SP I and II spaceship, blacktron I spaceship). But then again, im emotionaly tied to all those sets from early 90's, so this might be a bit biased toward older sets. I do like new minifigs in SP III line, especially aliens, but sets for themself doesnt apeal me(except for 5973).I guess they had to make new sets more TFOL oriented, since AFOL dont spend enough on new sets(excluded rare and exclusive sets)...

I cant say that UFO was all that bad. Sure large parts sucked, but then again, what did we get in Bionicle? Parts with VERY LIMITED use.Also UFO had one of the best helmet and armor produced by lego(only rivaled by old knight helms and new sp III helmet). I do agree on SP III; it does have some good things( great looking aliens, and both spacecrafts from 5973, and new helmets), but other than that I didnt liked it.That big ship(biggest one); where did the get idea to put "escape" mechanism on the end of pod? It just ruined the overall look of ship. Same goes for prison transport vehicle(that big wheeled one); it just lack something.... Also where the hell are AIRTANKS? Its SPACE police for sake! Mars mission had some good sets, but those aliens just ruined EVERYTHING !!! 2 part minifig? arghhhh. Insectoids were a bit off the "normal" space (even UFO seems reasonable enough), but I did like their bubble helmets. Its hard to say WHICH one is WORST, since each one had at least one or more good things too.

Main theme:SPACE (1989-1996) subtheme: M:trons (especialy because of mega core magnetizer) Blacktron I Blacktron II Space police 1 and 2 ice planet 2002 Spyrius UFO Exo FORCE: All sets, especially like those "slave" robots with unique copper/brown design and mecca ONE with its gold and black color. reading through topic, i can see that there are many(well most of posts) who really liked "OLD" space, and not Star wars or Sp III. Also i can see that there arent many sci fi themes(apart from sp3 adn star wars) today. I wish there would be more "old/classic space sets available on market. They should ressurect blacktrons or any of "old" space sub theme. For crist sake is it so hard to make new models with old color scheme or what?! If they need insporation, well here is eurobricks, brickshelf, flickr, MOCPages....

its not that big problem for me, but I see this as a kind of promoting violence. Its just like the games; now many children thinks that stealing car isnt so bad because they all played GTA,same with murder or beating someone. Kids are pehenomenaly fast to remember things, things they see, hear. And if you dont explain them soon enough, they'll take this as NORMAL thing. Also is there no way to enjoy in playing even if its not violent? I take its part of our collective thinking...Didnt USArmy tried to recruit even more through game they developed and released?

Mabye they havent crossed the line between not to violent and to violent themes, but sure is that line is very thin. im not against some violent theme(to some degree); all space were more or less violent(all those lasers and rockets),wild west had many weapons too,castle, same with ALL licensed products(indiana jones, Star wars, Batman, spiderman), space police 3... Its part of themes, but it does concern me, that themes like agents and now world racers rely mostly on weapons (although its part of playability). I guess that non agressive themes arent so popular anymore.

Im not sure for rest of the europe, but i can assure that here where i live(slovenia) there is almost all SP III sets available to buy. But i do agree, that almost none space subtheme(BT,Mtron or spyrius/ice planet)had more than few sets per year...I do hope that they bring back one of old factions(new torsos from vilain shows "modern BT styling"), though i dont mind on even more civilian one too.

Nice review, with just enough pics. I found truck's trailer disturbing, since it looks ugly. All those bionicle/technic bricks just dont look right there. it would be much better if they'd use SYSTEM bricks, with technic only for joints/hinges. But nontheless its nice theme(i didnt even knew that it exist), especialy lime green/white buggy which look just right for some post apoc (with proper modifications of course)theme.
