UK Stores Grand Openings
When a new store in the UK has a Grand opening, is it usually like the states etc and customers get some sort of memento on entry or purchase at the till. The reason i ask is the wife and myself were first through the door at the new Metrocentre store on friday and got offered nothing apart from a catalogue and a hello. Would have been nice to receive some sort of keepsake.

Lego North East England
Cheers for the reply Snaillad, im afraid its looking like an expensive online purchases by the looks of it. Its really multiple single row whites that im after for a project, going from 1x1 to 1x16. I did ask the staff at Lego Metrocentre if they had any input on future brick stock orders but could'nt really get a definate answer. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. I have had to put an online order in at Lego online to tied me over. Cheers Ken

Lego North East England
Hey Teessider, cheers for the reply. Just looking for an alterantive local shop/dealer... The Lego shop in the Metrocentre opened on friday, not a great selection of single row bricks in the pick a brick wall section, plenty of doubles though with a small variety of colours. The staff reckon there will be more selections to choose from once they settle in. (Fingers crossed) Let me know how you get on if you venture through this way.

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help me. I am new to lego and apart from the new Lego Store that has opened at Gateshead, Metrocentre. Where else (NE England) is a good place to buy bricks/parts, that has a good variety to choose from. i would like to be able to go where you can go buy in person and not over the net etc. Any hints/tips most welcome. Hey guys, just alittle introduction to myself so that i'm not been rude. As you may have guessed by my username, i'm called Ken. Lets just say i guess you could say im into my second childhood . I have only JUST got into Lego Modular MOC building after stumbling across some great work on the net via google, which started whilst searching for info on a new Lego store opening next to where i live. I liked the modular builds so much that i fancied giving it a crack myself. I have'nt actually started as of yet but i have just placed some orders for some bricks and just bought the Palace Cinema and a few other sets to create a MOC builds. Right, thats the polite bit done so now i'm off to browse what looks like a wonderful forum packed with information and education on the hobby. Cheers everyone.
