  1. Sorry for the belated response, the Fanweekend In Portugal had me pre-occupied. Thank you all for the kind comments, I'm glad you like my adventures with Harry! Certainly! Most of them were built in a day each but the Basilisk for example took me a couple of days. Also had to take a break in between as I was traveling. Great choices! Thank you, I appreciate it! :) The nostaligia I got with Marcel's series was the reason I started doing this. Harry meant so much to me as a kid so I jut had to do it Thank you! Without Marcel this wouldn't have been possible (he even borrowed me minifigs when mine were left behind at an event ) and the whole collaboration concept makes this project so special. So I'm glad you like it! If you'd like to see the third book being done check out the photo stream of a friend of ours who's tackling Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in his own style. Thanks again! Best Markus
  2. If you're following me on flickr you probably didn't get around seeing these - and you probably asked yourself once or twice if I lost my marbles. The past weeks I posted a series of vignettes following Harry's adventures in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - with an almost daily upload (and a break of almost 4 weeks) from beginning to end. I was inspired by Marcel / marcu44, whose series I was following up with. Now I'm parting ways with Harry and the following weeks Kevin / StarWarsKev will cover the third book. Its about time that I present my vignettes in one post - there are 30 in total. One thing upfront: Some of the vignettes only work thanks to a little wizardry in the photoshop department. If you're offended by that - well.. your loss I only used this tool in a few exceptions and if you know me you should actually be used to it by now I didn't quote half of the book like I did over on flickr. Thats just too much - but if you haven't done so I recommend that you read the Harry Potter novels or watch the movies. And now... Off to Hogwarts! #001 - Dobby's Warning #002 - Petunia's Masterpiece #003 - The Burrow #004 - Breakfast and Letters #005 - Floo Powder #006 - Borgin and Burkes #007 - Flourish and Blotts #008 - King's Cross #009 - Flying to Hogwarts #010 - Snape's Office #011 - The Howler #012 - Mandrakes #013 - Pixie Pandemonium #014 - Eat Slugs! #015 - Mrs Norris #016 - The Rogue Bludger #017 - The Polyjuice Potion #018 - The Duelling Club #019 - Fawkes #020 - The Slytherin Common Room #021 - The Polyjuice Potion, Pt. 2 #022 - Tom Riddle's Diary #023 - Spiders, Spiders #024 - Heading off #025 - In the tunnels #026 - Revelations #027 - The Basilisk #028 - It's over #029 - Choices #030 - Freedom And this concludes Harry's second adventure. Many thanks if you paid attention until now. Many thanks also to those that supported me with their feedback during the past weeks - without you I would probably given up sooner or later Do you have a favourite scene? Here are all of them one last time next to each other: With magical regards Markus
  3. That must be the best EB group shot ever and is probably a very good representation of how awesome the event was once again! Thank you, Stefan and Tom, for organizing it and to everyone for making it special by being there. I had a blast! Valentin, my mom and I arrived safely in my place about 1.5h ago. I think I want to catch some sleep now, still somewhat tired after delivering some Norwegians to the airport this morning... ;)
  4. I've seen it. Its very imaginative!
  5. So we'll be having THE big competition of the evening? Ace vs Quarry for the last spot?
  6. Top row, left to right: Marco Reus, Andrè Schürrle, Toni Kroos, Shkodran Mustafi, Julian Draxler, Karim Bellarabi, Manuel Neuer Middle row, left to right: Mario Gómez, Jeróme Boateng, Mario Götze, Lukas Podolski, Sami Khedira, Thomas Müller, Joachim Löw Front row, left to right: Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matthias Ginter Lets see how wrong we all are
  7. Almost any place is warmer and drier than Ireland is...
  8. Lovely countdown, Stefan! Your game of illegal techniques is decent but it could be improved by the use of the glorious minifig hand Those technic pins just don't work as perfectly as they should *runs off*
  9. Finished mine yesterday evening, looking forward to what everyone is cooking up!
  10. Certainly
  11. Won't be available before the 14th of May and as far as I'm told are highly sought after so even I'm having a problem securing a box
  12. Mmh... 5 or more = 6€ each? Does that sound fair? Done!
  13. Rollis mom: 109. She totally forgot about it, sorry (And no, she still doesn't have a username...)
  14. I'm certain you are looking for dark azure. Mærsk Blue is basically Medium Blue with a hint of green. Dark Blue is way darker, Sand Blue totally desaturated in comparison to other shades of blue. For reference the left third of this image is quite helpful to define colours if you lack bricks or experience.

Once again: Thanks for your kind comments! The whole page is 1-wide. Most of it is normal brickwork, the exceptions are the sideways arches that are hold in place with thin vertical clips. Haha, Maxim, thats a lot of "damns" Thanks Best Markus

Thank you all! I'm truly humbled by your kind comments! The four hidden fairy tales are as follows: 1. Little Red Riding Hood (the basket and the wolf) 2. The Seven Ravens (all in the trees in the center - this fairy tale seems to be totally unknown outside of Germany, sorry for that) 3. The Frog Prince (lower left, has a crown on his head) 4. Sleeping Beauty (my intention, the red rose on the right and all the thorns in the foliage) but many also suggested "Jorinde and Joringel" Thanks for guessing! Best Markus

Hi guys! In the 19th century the Brothers Grimm traveled all around Germany collecting local fairy tales and publishing them later. I chose to represent their efforts by showcasing various different fairy tales that they are more or less responsible for. The left page opens to Hansel and Gretel, the right to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I also placed references to four other fairy tales in the model - can you spot them? Brothers Grimm by rolli, auf Flickr Built for the Brickstory 2016 contest that Kockice is hosting. Thanks for the fun contest! (Yes, photography-wise its not my best. Apologies, I have a busy schedule these days.) Looking forward to hearing what you think of it! Best Markus
  19. Certainly
  20. Anybody into polybags? I dug through my "vault" and found the following things that I don't need. Images link to Bricklink - price is BL price minus 20%. You want multiples? I'll make you a good deal, I want to get rid off them after all... x 9 (3 reserved for MstrOfPppts, 2 reserved for Morten, 2 reserved for mechamike, 1 reserved for Puvel) x 17 (1 reserved for Morten, 1 reserved for Calanon, 2 reserved for Puvel) x 3 (1 reserved for Quarryman) x 6 x 2 (2 reserved for Morten) x 1 x 2 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 1 x 2 x 1 x 4 (2 reserved for Morten) I am looking for: You have multiples of any? Hell, even better! The Santis (the red knight) minifigure is the one with dark tan hands. I'm also looking for torsos from Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. (Also, if anybody happens to be willing to part with any Comic Con exclusive minifigures, I might be interested.. No, I'm not crazy ) My mum is looking for: Thanks! Markus
  21. Jesus. How on earth do I miss this thread every single year even though I have all notifications turned on?! I've got a spare one And those parts of yours... Consider all of them covered If Skalldyr drops out of the podracers, I'd be interested.. I will report back with what I have to trade. Might be a lot. Or not. We'll see

I actually reworked the back just yesterday. Looks better now. Will take new pictures in the coming days. Thanks! EDIT: Picture updated. I made the back higher which is more in line with the original.

From wikipedia: The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater super car, which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German automaker Audi AG in 2006. This is my minifig scale version of the Audi R8, THE dream car for me when I was a teenager who didn't have to think about transporting LEGO to conventions. Iron Man had one, I wanted one. Now I have a minifig scale version :) Audi R8 by rolli, auf Flickr I think I started this car a little over a year ago, after mentioning to a friend (and great car-builder) that I wanted to try building a minifigure-scale car. Not that I worked on it all year long but every now and then I came back to the LDraw file, figuring out the difficult shape one by one, trying to live up to my friends expectations and high standards. About a month ago I finally cracked the last two issues and I'm finally happy with it. Let me know what you think, I'm looking forward to your feedback! :) Markus
