  1. OOC: I'll have a reply back soon.
  2. "Wait," Varen said, his voice rising. "Passenger trains? Look not meaning to knock you but that\s a pretty big deal.|
  3. "Survival of the fittest, amiright?"
  4. Varen nods to Zaria. "Hey. You just get back from a mission?"
  5. Thanks! That telescope took a lot of finagling.
  6. Really interesting color choice. It's eery. As evencelt mentioned, the pattern on the roof always is on the floor but it looks great as a roof.
  7. Haha very clever! Glad to see a build get back at the corproal punishment one.
  8. Thanks! That's a big compliment!
  9. Go big or go home. Everything is bigger in Texas Oleon. Thanks! It took me a bit to get used to how I like it. Thanks! I mean, what happens to theguilty people? We can't let them run around willy-nilly!
  10. I've bought multiple sets off Bricklink that are retired that are cheaper than Ebay or Amazon. Also, Amazon stores are also small business stores quite a bit. It's just like bricklink, but "free shipping" is already factored into the cost. As others said, current sets are easier on Amazon or from TLG. Retired sets, parts, and just spare pieces are BrickLink's bread and butter. That's why people use that site (heads up, TLG owns Bricklink now), because it's easier. It's no different from walking into a mom and pop shop. Your one experience is just that. One. And everybody else has had a way different experience (everyone here is saying good things). Statistically, you're experience is not working.
  11. As the town of North Sillitholina rebuilt after the conflict, it was realized a courthouse was needed to pass sentences. Uses the micro participation prize for Part I.
  12. Varen noticed the new posted mission. He left his seat and went up to the board, scanning the listing. "Gotta find something? Well damn, hey Felix! You'd be great for this!" He continued reading, making a noise at the 50 credits. "50? The other job is 80. Who in blazes is Mr. Mortizar?" He paused. "Well, doesn't always hurt to play with the big cats." Varen signed up for Mission #7
  13. If you buy from a highly reputable seller, you're not getting fake bricks.
  14. You also could order directly from LEGO (usually a bit more expensive, but you earn VIP points if that matters) through Pick a Brick or Bricks & Pieces on their site.
  15. Thanks! The rotate tool was my best friend to get positioning.
  16. With how Corries are, they should have your paddles on retainer! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I mean, I'm sure such a thing happens in Oleon as well, but I couldn't leave this opportunity! The corporal punishment joke was too easy. As was mentioned the base piece comes in transblack, although I thought it came in just regular black. I originally was going to use the tri-stem piece, but realized the stalks are different heights, so that didn't work.
  17. How dare you look at it for just the tittillation factor Thanks! Usually for me minifigure posing is how they come, but for this build I wanted to try off their nomral plane of posing, and I think it worked well.
  18. "Thank you, sir, may I have another?" THWAP! The rest of the class looked on eagerly. "Look! His bottom will get red! The corporal deserves it!" someone shouted. "Make him as red as our uniforms!" another student shouted."He can't be in the Navy if he doesn't take the oar!" "What do you say, corporal?" "Thank you, sir may I have another?" "What was that?" He swung the paddle through the air, the whistle was audible. "Louder so we can all hear." "THANK YOU SIR MAY I HAVE ANOTHER!" THWAP! "You are now going to be initiated in our secret club." the man with the paddle said. "You withstood the pain. Welcome to the Corringotn Navy. You can even look through the telescope now." For the Flavours mini challenge. Corrington is all about education, and college is full of hazing. Tried to use the telescope in as many ways as possible. I think I used it in 2.5 different ways. Let me know what settlement to put this in, please.
  19. I've honestly been sitting on that line for way too long and was trying to think of the best way to include it in a build.
  20. KotZ replied to Perterz's post in a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow! This is fantastic. I love the stonework you've done, and really clever use of the treads.
