I definitely mean a new colour XD I do not condone yellowing for any reason :p

I'd never noticed about the Snowtrooper commander before, that's cool. I don't know that I think tan is the right colour, it should really be more of an off-white... which would be a good colour for a lot of Star Wars vehicles too...

It's not exactly making the fig more accurate, but I was a bit disappointed with the body and lack of cape on Darth Jar Jar, so I swapped his head with Darth Dev, who has a surprisingly detailed design for an original character. Plus a cape, of course. Thoughts?

The first thing I thought when I saw the new M-Tron CMF was that his accessory was perfect for Baze Malbus. I'm not 100% convinced about the gun, I had hoped the belt came off the claw but it's dual moulded. Maybe it would be better to use the claw as the backpack and attach the gun to the other end. Bonus - why haven't we had royal guards with proper robes yet?!

Not that I've got a clone thing going on, but I also realised Captain Vaughn actually has a dark red visor, not an orange one.
  6. Removed, not worth it.

Doing a little Clone Wars updating: Ahsoka has medium legs and the face from the AAT/Duel on Mandalore variant. Clone Captain Not-Rex has pauldron and kama from the older Clone Wars sets. Padme from the new Gunship gets dual moulded legs and Fox gets a kama and more accurate visor colour. I didn't realise they'd changed the mould for that piece, but the old black visor doesn't fit as well unfortunately. Bonus round:

On a whim, I decided to try the new backpack piece from the city lunar sets on Dagobah Luke I was aiming for this sort of thing: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/124622

These look perfect! I love the janitor's cap especially.

Just a very minor update here - I tried adding the fur collar from the conveyex driver to the Armourer (or, to be more accurate, I tried an eBay aftermarket version of that collar). I think it improves the figure quite a lot, a lot of her presence is lost without the broad collar.

That actually looks a lot better than I expected! I like the kama on him as well. Not sure about the shoulder armour on hunter though, you're right that we really need something halfway between the two. Omega looks great too, I love the bow. Have you tried her with dark blue arms? I feel like the colour in the show is halfway between dark grey and dark blue. I can't think of a way to get the dark red in either, although I saw a custom on reddit that used a harley quinn nurse torso backwards.

I feel like Echo is crying out for a robot arm with a 1x1 bar tile for his scomp link, but honestly what he needed was a pirate-hook style hand replacement. Hell, maybe a pirate hook in grey?

No, you should not. This is a thread for reporting sales and deals in the UK, not private sellers on eBay. I will take this opportunity to say one thing: I actually filter the word 'rare' out of my ebay searches because it annoys me so much. It's a knockoff of a real set that you're trying to sell for a profit. It's not 'rare'.
  14. Pictures! A thousand times pictures! "Hello YouTube Viewers, it's [boring internet name] here with another [whatever]!" I DON'T CARE LEAVE ME ALONE. I want to see the Lego, not your fumbling hands. That pirate set video review was pretty good, because it was about the bricks, not someone monologuing and taking twenty minutes to open the box with one hand. The sound was good, with clear audio and subtle music, the execution was slick, and above all it was short. Unfortunately reviews like that are the exception rather than the rule.

This is kind of more of a deal request than an actual deal, but does anyone know where to get hold of 65036 Utapau Troopers? Amazon doesn't seem to carry it except through overpriced resellers, and neither John Lewis nor my local toy store have it on the shelves. Why is it so hard to find in the UK?

No sign of any of those in Cambridge. Naboo fighter was £25 and the rest weren't on the shelves.

Has anyone reported the 3367 Space Shuttle for £13.49 in John Lewis? Lovely little set. I treated myself to one yesterday as a pick-me-up.

I couldn't resist the podracers. Pity the Falcon went out of stock so fast but at that price I'm hardly surprised.
  19. So that's potentially as many as 158 children who won't get their free lego! Seriously, they let you claim that many?
  20. Just picked up the Venator this morning. Grinned sheepishly at the till lady - too old for lego, I know - and she gave me two :D Not built it yet. I save the polybag sets for bad days, so I have something to cheer myself up.
  21. The early Harry Potter sets were never meant to be based on the films. See also: inclusion of blue fire in the third floor corridor set. Just saying.

Boring?! I picked one up today (found it independently of this thread though, only here to report it if no-one else had :p) and it was the most fun I've had building something in ages. A few neat little tricks and lots of fun to watch it take shape. Also on the shelves in Tesco was the Fire Lord for £15 and the Atlantis angler fish set for £7 (I think!)
  23. I managed to get myself a Jack's Boat yesterday quite easily - just moseyed into Smiths around midday and they still had plenty of them left. Don't think I'll worry about chasing down the rest though - I find buying Lego embarrassing enough, let alone buying the sun to get some. Have to say, though, it's an excellent little set. Wonderful minifigure and I'm loving the new bottle piece. I do want to say to the folks going out and trying to get great handfuls of the sets: imagine the faces of the five or eight or ten children who won't get their free Lego. Why not? So you can sell them on bricklink? So you could add an extra handful of unusual pieces to your collection? Just because you can't stop yourself? I really hope the buzz you get is worth it.
  24. Headcrab.
  25. Good grief, advent calendar haters. Who do you think it was designed for? Grumpy old men with a stick up their trash compactor about accuracy and price-per-piece, or children that might actually use it as an advent calendar and have some fun, rather than open everything at once and put it in a box for display/storage? It was never going to be a parts pack, and it was certainly never going to have a full-fledged mini model behind every door. Splitting the models would be a massive failure - what kid wants half a B-wing in his calendar one morning?
