  1. It is still temporarily down because of Christmas. It probably will be back online in early January.
  2. From the Netherlands I was able to order complete Naboo Security Officers from set 75091 for 3,61 euros, the BL price is about 7,50... So that was a good deal. I checked most licensed sets and this was the only complete figure I was able to find. I also found the Wookie headpieces, but not all the matching legs and torsos. I completed them with regular torsos and legs, who is gonna notice the lack of printing on the legs and arms when they populate a layout anyway right
  3. Thanks dr_spock that is an interesting read. I hoped to read more about their actions taken against cloning and copying. Still it does imply that Lego is at te very least somewhat annoyed by all the cloning and copying.
  4. It is somewhat difficult to know if they are "hurting" Lego. We dont know their exact markets and we dont have any specific sales info from them or Lego. We would need to know specific sales info over a period of time from a specific location that sells bot Lego and Clone and then determine if Lego sales have been affected since the introduction of the Clone in that area or store. Lego will never share this info and neither will the Clone. Only an independent store owner could help us out here...

That looks great! You used some interesting techniques for those plants and trees
  6. What about the polybags then? Fin in a bag, C3PO in a bag, Clone Luitenant in a bag, Han Solo in a bag....
  7. How exactly is this helping them?

I pretty much swoosh everything I build, its a great indicator of its chances of survival during transportation to events..
  9. That would be Gorwyn in the movie I believe...
  10. That looks great! Well done!
  11. I suppose the licence could state "playfigures" or something similar.. The POP things are obviously not for playing around with.... But then, why are there now the constraction figures? Are they considered construction toys and not playfigures... Perhaps the minifigure does not consist of enough parts to be considered a construction toy but a playfigure...
  12. That has always been the explanation.... Although I always wondered about the polybags with single figures in them... But contracts usually come to an end some time and will be renegotiated, so I guess its not entirely impossible...
  13. Very nice! I like that little crash scene. Maybe you can make the transition, in the centre, between the two snotted sections a bit smoother...

That brick built Tauntaun looks so cute! As an ideas project I have my doubts... Its too similar to what Lego does with the sets...

This is great! A truly awesome scale. Definitely a long term project
  16. Thanks! I know but the way the layout was set up would have meant that the Falcon would be facing away from the visitors. To avoid getting asked a million times to turn it around I decided to pull a 180 on it... Thanks!
  17. This layout was built by me and HJR Holland. It is based on the leaked set images form the Force Awakens. This location is also seen in the recent trailers. As posted on Flickr.
  18. However tragic, it would have been more appropriate to place a rest in peace post in the Culture and Media topics...
  19. This looks great! You must be the very first person to build a moc based on this movie. Looking at the stonework on the right I have a feeling this takes place in some "forgotten temple" setting... I'm very excited for this movie by the way

This was my second year at Legoworld as an exhibitor and I really enjoyed myself. The Fan area was much more spacious and set up nicely with the museum and a coffee area in the center. As for the entertainment, there were indeed many bouncy castles but there were never extremely long waiting lines which is a positive thing I guess. This year there were many more Lego building areas, also they were on large tables or simply on the ground. The year before there were only those small children sized building tables. A lot has changed since the event took place in Zwolle. The unofficial sellers have been banned unfortunately, but considering this is now an all Lego organised event it is also understandable. I did not see many MOCs that have been displayed at Legoworld before, but I could be wrong. Besides, if the wow factor is big enough I don't see a problem in exhibiting it two or even three years in a row. Looking forward to exhibiting again next year!

Very interesting to read about the choices you made! The final result is great and will be an nice addition to your modular street
  23. A true Lego historian can correct me if im wrong.. But I do believe the Time Cruisers theme was developed in an attempt to get rid of the enormous diversity in parts that were used by Lego designers at the time. I think the focus was more on regaining control of the design process rather than exploring all its creative potential. Your suggestion of these crossovers is a neat one. Crossovers were a rarity among Lego themes until the Lego Movie and Lego Dimensions came along.
  24. There still are alternate builds on the Creator sets though. And yes, those little books were awesome
