  1. Besides the official LEGO hubs (including the PF receiver if your device has IR), there's the SBrick.
  2. Because the person may not already have the parts even if they exist, and buying a whole set is usually cheaper than sourcing the individual parts from other places like BrickLink? Or maybe the set is a good source of parts the user needs for a MOC, and again sourcing them individually is more expensive?
  3. You mean that they're no longer cheap, or that they're no longer an alternative to LEGO?
  4. Hi, and welcome! I'm not sure what's your question because of the automated translation; it's easier to understand if you write in English. From what I can understand, either you can't find the app for download, or you downloaded it but can't connect to that battery box. In the first case, it can be downloaded from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scn.BrickController2 (Android) or https://apps.apple.com/us/app/brickcontroller2/id1441923224 (iOS). In the second case, the app can't connect to that kind of battery box. It's compatible only with the Power Functions IR receiver (if your phone has infrared), SBrick, BuWizz, and the official LEGO Powered Up hubs.
  5. I don't see TLG creating new tyre moulds specifically for Monster Truck pullbacks, but... Tractor tyres: too narrow. Balloon tyres: too round. Tumbler tyres: too shallow tread.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised at all if TLG employees roamed around here, even if anonymously and/or unofficially. After all, many of them are AFOLs, too.
  7. Could they have had to change the protocol to accommodate the extra outputs? If I'm not mistaken, all 6 LEDs are individually controlled.
  8. Only imurvai can tell for sure, but from what I've seen support for that isn't copy and paste because TLG changed slightly the protocol it uses.
  9. Sariel and other Technic tank builders are surely crossing their fingers for that.
  10. Which XL motors are you referring to, PF or PU?
  11. There's already a first dive into the Porsche's new hub, and apparently the communications protocol is more complicated than in other PU hubs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zeW6gNV7Jo
  12. That's also my beef with 42039 and 42069.
  13. Perhaps with pairs of these? (with reinforcement elsewhere to compensate for the lack of rigidity) https://rebrickable.com/parts/32126/technic-axle-and-pin-connector-toggle-joint-smooth/
  14. If you put the cursor right below the quote box and press backspace, won't the box disappear?
  15. What does model design have to do with part design?
  16. Because people would then complain about having stickers to apply.
  17. It goes all the way back to the 8448, which came with two extra yellow beams specifically to lift its driven wheels off the floor and see the effect the different gears had on the motorised model. Already at that time the LEGO designers weren't expecting you to go around speeding with that large model (although it had instructions to automate with an RCX and two paired motors for propulsion).
  18. I remember 42000 being heavily criticised for its LA-powered opening mechanism, and how it should have been manual, or have its entire rear body removable. There is simply no way that the Technic team can please everyone.
  19. From what I could see, its price, adjusted for inflation, is the same as the G500's.
  20. Well, it's not a G-Wagen, but... https://www.newelementary.com/2018/06/review-lego-technic-42083-bugatti-chiron.html
  21. 2017 was Year of Blue, 2024 appears to be Year of Orange.
  22. Welcome to the Internet. 😅
