Destroy them my minions! Mwahahahaha! Nice vignette; lovin' the foliage.
  2. Definately. So now they are making a 1x4 version of the masonry brick. Hmm, interesting. I just have to wonder....why did the crooks steal the kitchen sink?
  3. Just thought of another part I particularly like; the Lion Head cutout. Again, not very versatile but certainly artistic. I love finding any excuse to place a few of these in any build.
  4. Nice alternate, and it actually transforms!

Yeah, Blacktron! Man, Lego brought back Space Police some years ago and the Blacktron referance keeps seeping through various sets & characters these days, they really ought to do a full comeback theme especially with designs like yours.
  6. This is a dream project of my own to modularize the Haunted House. I have seen a handful but they typically 'clean' the place up which is nice but I enjoy the rundown aspects of the original so it is nice seeing how faithful you were with this modification. Good job.
  7. I like the appearance of this build more than the official Creator Tree House set. Very nice all around.
  8. These sports cars totally rock in their creative parts usage and design flow. I would not be surprised to see something similar pop up in an official Lego set.
  9. First off, thank you for the review. All the links work for me so far. Any chance you could embed the images into the main post? It would really make the whole thing stand out.
  10. Ah sweet, another brand new part added to the roster! I can hardly wait to see what combinations will stem from such a unique brick.

For the love of everything seafaring, yes please! Lego revisited Castle this year, it would be sweet if they traveled back to good ol' fashioned Pirates.
  12. What the? Which set was that intriguing piece introduced with?
  13. Ah, so that is Series 5. The monkey looks like an altered (printing and reversed mold) version from Minifigures Series 7 Jungle Boy. I think the coloring for the parrot or whatever type of bird it is specifically is nice.
  14. Indeed. I always get a kick out of creative microscale designs such as this. It is a real challenge trying to create something in a limited size while giving it the illusion of being more detailed than it actually is. It's very similar to the basic idea of pixel art.

Mmm mmm, now that is a lot of cheese! Interesting detail with the swiss cross and "FONDUE" lettering.

I believe Galaxy Squad is on the list of every prior 'one & done' theme. If and when we get another original Space theme, it could be a couple of years before that happens. I do enjoy the builds with their characters and always look forward to the next Space theme if anything just to get a break from yet even more Star Wars. Star Wars is cool but it is tiring how much the license has become Lego's only space theme.
  17. Wow. This is just....wow.
  18. I am hoping to find a complete Galaxy Squad collection under my tree. Hmm, time to check the closet.
  19. Haha, cute story. Merry Christmas or Happy Hanukkah everyone!
  20. I tend to 'blueprint' what I wish to build on paper and/or virtually before even placing down one brick which includes several do-overs before getting it right. I don't know about keeping a record just for failed MOCs but I do keep pictures of everything built successful or not so I guess that is a means of recording.
  21. On one hand, it would be neat if Lego did do a military theme, but on the other, I for one am glad they do not nor ever will. Lego is a kids toy and perhaps some of the 'innocence' is from never touching a full-on warfare product line. Sure, there were some militant referances with Indiana Jones but that was part of the film, and it isn't like you see Indiana Jones and just think "Oh, Nazis!". Yes, Star Wars is full of battle scenes and whatnot but that is another story. On a personal note, I would rather leave all the war builds for the fans and leave Lego (the company) out of it. If I feel like building an Abrams tank or Shinden aircraft, that will be my choice.
  22. I'm actually pretty cool with it all in spite of completing every series since number 7 and buying extras of certain characters for MOC ideas. I can agree with the speed they seem to come and go is a bit speedy but it typically is after I have a full set with a good amount of extras on the side. I do wish my Walmart was reliable in stocking them at all compared to Target who usually always gets these in although they were late at the beginning of this year with Series 9 which was annoying as heck.

The Breaking Bad set shouldn't even make an appearance really as it was not an official release. It was a fan design same as all those BrickArms weapons and such. The controversy around Jabba's Palace was an absolute riot.

Why did this sound like a conversation Pinky & the Brain would have. Pinky: Gee Brain, what do you wanna do this year? Brain: Same thing we do every year Pinky....TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!! Anywho, I'll probably just do the same as every prior one. Keep buying various Lego sets to bulk up my collection of parts so that one day I can simply sit down and be able to build anything my mind conceives more or less. I don't know; I'm working on it.
