Broken/Incomplete Lego sets
A couple years ago I had bought a brand new Star Wars set from the store miss quite a few parts. Other than that, I don't think I have lost any old pieces from my personal collection but I probably wouldn't know unless I went back to build everything.

Winter Village: Swing Boats
The colors used are perfectly delightful and nice form with the parts used therein.

Review: 75041 Volture Droid
Well, look at the A-Wing Starfighter released for 2013. Why did Lego include Han Solo and General Ackbar as they have nothing directly to do with the spaceship? I think there is a certain minifigure ratio quota to help offset the retail so perhaps those two characters like the Neimodian Warrior were included simply to 'fill out' the set. They also realize plenty of people will buy certain sets just to collect certain minifigures as well.

Winter Village: Games Booth (contest entry)
The dreaded ring toss game. A perfect use for all those "One Ring"s you get with every Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit sets. I've always wanted to see the water pistol game done in Lego before as that still is my favorite carnival game. Well done.

Things non-AFOLs say WAY too often
Haha, yeah. I've heard bunches of kids say the same thing before a few times in the Lego aisle. It is funny when they start pacing back and forth trying to figure in their head how to buy 'that one set' with their allowance to the point of even bribing their parents.

What's wrong with buying certain sets just for specific minifigures? The parts are a bonus!

Unique Characters in Army Builders
I suppose it depends on how unique that one character is. For example, a few Lurtz' from The Orc Forge can go great with just about any army of Orcs, but then you have special cases like Thranduil from Mirkwood Elf Army. Eomer from Uruk-Hai Army was a bit more versatile than him in my opinion. Still, I like having at least one unique character in the mix although it would help if that one was generic enough for changeability.

Winter Village: Butcher Stand
Interesting 'choice cuts' you have there.

Winter Village: Food stall
Such a wonderful kiosk with details all around in a confined space. Bravo.

Hey, it's what happens when you cross a Zerg Hydralisk with a spacecraft. Very cool; a nice blend of mechanical and organic.- Review: 75035 Kashyyyk Troopers
Thanks for the review, Cyberbricker. Although not the nicest shade of green on the minifigures, they still look good. I kind of would expect to see them fighting on Dagobah instead of Kashyyyk with that style of camoflouge. The Republic Trooper really does have the better helmet here; at least his looks right all around, but the Scout Trooper helmet still looks wrong with the tiny visor printed there, and the build isn't much to write home about. However, I do spot a few parts which could be put to better use in something else.- Life size LEGO car powered by air
A technical marvel to say the least. I'm enjoying watching the engine function alone. Those seats must not be very comfortable though as if sitting down on concrete but that's negligible.- Winter Market: Ice Sculpting Competition (Contest Entry)
- Best/Worst designed licenced minifigure ever?
Worst picks would be the original Squidward from Spongebob Squarepants (regular head with just a print, okay torso though), original Jar Jar Binks (newer version is better but that isn't saying much really), and both versions of Aldar Beedo (molded and brickbuilt). Not sure about best minifigures; quite a few out there. I'll have to ponder on that one for a bit. I do think the Alien Buggoids from Galaxy Squad are kickass especially the dark red one from Star Slicer! Plenty of great ones from the Collectable Minifigures line. (Too many too list actually.)- [Quiz] Which NinjaGo character are you most like?
Huh, turns out I am most like Jay. I get the wisecracking nature but at least I actually know what "bequeath" means!- Girls in action themes?
I'd just like to see more lady characters period, and preferably ones who know how to open up a grade A can of kick butt. Sometimes the whole 'damsel in distress' bit can be a little funny but most of the time, it is just tiresomely annoying. In Legends of Chima the strongest female is Cragger's sister, Crooler, mainly because the few others have done very little if anything in the background. I would like to see Windra of the wolves do something awesome at some point in the series. (I like wolves, sue me. ) Also, it feels awkwardly weird how male oriented all the tribes are. I mean, one female per tribe if there even is one. The Ravens, Bears, and Lions have no females whatsoever. Even a child is going to wonder "Where are all the mommies?"- Review: 75041 Volture Droid
That's what made the opening bit for the Family Guy Star Wars specials so funny. "A long time ago yet somehow in the future..." Yeah, probably. The overall minifigure does look very close to the source material as you pointed out. Even then, I liked the uniqueness of the character and his choice of armaments anyway. I just think it's cool mixing old and new in a futuristic frontier.
