  1. I picked four Opera House up from TRU(Miranda NSW) last Monday. Apparently, they just had a delivery that day. Some stores have a waiting list.
  2. Opera House is now sold out in TRU(NSW).
  3. Target at Miranda(NSW) has the new DC sets now. No 20% off though.
  4. My girlfriend recently bought me the pet store and HP Diagon Alley, had it deboxed and sent via DHL next business delivery post right to my door step. All for a low price of AUD$345. I honestly can't justify the rip off price here. Imagine the kid's parents when they're tossing up between a HP diagon alley for $2xx or a nintendo Wii for $150. All I can say is, good luck to Aussie retailers stocking overpriced Lego.
  5. Wow That's an absolutely gorgeous MOC that you've got going.
  6. I wash mine and air dry. Not the best way to go if your sets have a lot of stickers. I've got my grand carousel in a perspex display case. Cost quite a fair bit to have that custom made.
  7. Don't let that discourage you. Hurstville TRU was quite hard to crack, try Miranda TRU, he was more lenient and the manager's name is Darren and I thanked him profusely after he did the markdown. There are still other TRU's around NSW that you could try, perhaps Bankstown or parramatta. Or maybe bring the receipt into another retailer for a pricematch. Also the TRU in Hurstville has a big board or poster saying "Price match gurantee" *conditions apply. LOL
  8. It's never too late. I got it done last night, had to be really nice to the cashier and manager. Sweet talk your way into getting that deal.
  9. Hey fellow eurobrick members! I hope my receipts will help you guys score cheaper POTC QAR's! Always remember to be nice to the cashier and manager.
  10. I got one minifig from the wildlife world, as this was the first place where I bought my tickets. It was a sub-par minifig decked out in khakis and a hat, looked like a cowboy minifig. I didn't get any other minifigs because I didn't have to line up again at the aquarium, so can't comment on that one. It was extremely busy when I went and I lined up at the wildlife world because the line was much shorter. The staff was nice enough to hand the minifig to us but did advise us not to tell any other adults....*oops
  11. They had the Repair truck(3179) for $30....so that's way over rrp. and i think they had the neptune carrier for a "special price" of $69.99.
  12. Checked out the Lego exhibition at the Sydney Aquarium/Wildlife world today... had some amazing stuff on display and there's a little lego store on the side too. The Lego store consisted of a whole heap of atlantis sets, nothing too special, none of the hard to find sets were spotted. Most sets were overpriced. However they do stock some Lego books.
  13. If you haven't opened the box, just return it with the receipt and buy it again :D
  14. David Jones has a 25% off full priced toys promotion going on untill 16th of dec. Time to load up on GE.
  15. The flyer says not to be used in conjunction with any other offers so I'm unsure on how valid those discounts would be on the sets in the catalogue. Myer again came up with another deal today, 25% off toys on Tuesday 23rd Nov. http://upload.ozbargain.com/2010/11/16/4788_myer_shopping_event_xmas_nov_23rd_2010.pdf It also states not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Hopefully, you can find a register who's clueless and puts it through with a further 25% off.
