  1. Personally I prefer the 2008 version To the latest version as the 2013 one in my opinion looks to be too short as if it's been squashed, making it look rather stubby. If you want something that although granted as some would say as being slightly oversized for minifigure scale but based on appearance alone looks the best in terms of proportions then buy the 2008 version. (My opinion) This may help as it shows the two versions 2008 and 2013 side by side: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86486 Also: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7287/8736895881_1219405219_o.jpg
  2. Having now had four different versions of a Lego Droideka now (excluding the sniper variant) I was just wondering and curious to find out what other people's favourite version was and why. Although I can't actually find any comparison images online I did manage to find a YouTube video with footage of the three together Not my own video by the way (It's relevant until around 1.10 when he brings in his own version and talks about that for the rest of the video) Personally, my favourite is the one from the MTT set. I know of course it's far larger then it ought to be, but I don't mind it being as big or slightly larger then a minifig if it looks better. Though I wouldn't want an any larger version. My least favourite is unfortunately for me the most recent version available in the battlepack. Yes the scale is more accurate but I really dislike the overall look of it and the accuracy compared to the movies. Anyway, which is your favourite?
  3. Looks great. I have to admit I completely forgot about this vehicle until I saw the model when it was instantly recognisable and it all came back to me (haven't played Star Wars: Empire at War for a very long time now). Always reminds me of a frog...

These are amazing! I have to emphasize that these are not my own creations, but after stumbling on this YouTube channel I was blown away by how they managed to incorporate such complex transformations into such small models.
  5. Thank you very much for making me aware of this lovely model (I've always loved the Acklaay since first seeing it ). having now bought it, I really like mini models such as this. The only thing I may change would ge to replace the 'nose' piece with a 2X1 dark green instead.
  6. Those my thoughts exactly on the dalek: prefer the top half of the dinensions dalek but prefer the bottom half base of the ideas dalek. I love what you've come up with and was exactly what I had in mind as being the 'perfect design'. Looks much better then either of them in my opinion and certainly.the best one I've seen Shame there's not really an alternative for the lever piece being used as the sucker personally but of course using the standard design of the sucker pad from the ideas set would make it too long now it's at the front.
  7. Besides the fact that it does not look very wookieish, as mentioned before, it sort of looks , from the lego interpretation of it at least, as if it could be any generic science fiction theme that lego has come up.
  8. Found this on YouTube and thought I may as well put it here in case anyone else wants to watch it... Probably posted in wrong topic/section, so feel free to move it
  9. The Senate Guards from Episode 1 would be great, along with the version of Palpatine from the episode in his robes.
  10. Dexter would be a good addition, and with Legos release of four armed Minifigures now, one of which looking vaguely like him, it could have been possible. A diner set would be a nice change, like the cantina, of a set that involves no guns, battles etc. Wat Tambor would also be excellent, and in a set that consists of other separatist leaders in their meeting on Geonosis would be excellent.
  11. Although the minifigures are great, the tri droid of course, is a real let down. What annoys me more was that this was the PERFECT opportunity to have included a minifigure scale crab droid, something which actually appeared at Utapau and that featured in the movie. I so wanted a crab droid...
  12. I wonder when the exo suit will first make its appearance as that's two sets now that were approved after it and yet released before it... Anyway, I like what they have done to make this into a set, as many have stated though, disappointed in the minifigures.
  13. Prequel trilogy land vehicles
  14. Epic! Looks like it's a screenshot from a high spec video game

This is brilliant and I love the colours you went for, along with the use of the yavin planet part for the top half of the droid? I don't think it's suited to utapau though, it looks most like as if it belongs in kashyyyk
