  1. That actually looks pretty awesome! I might steal this for my Giant Man when I get it. Thanks!
  2. Super bummed about Giant Man being mostly stickers, but the fact that the eyes are printed gives me a grain of hope that the rest of the body can be replicated with red/gray plates.
  3. Soooooooo glad they went with a more human-looking Killer Croc. I've gotten really tired of the slow shift towards making him just a straight up crocodile on two legs and I'm happy to see Lego stuck with a more human-with-crocodilian-features look. The set on the whole is made by the Bat-Tank which does remind me a bit of the TDKR Batmobile. The giant bear trap with the stand for Boomerang is really stupid, but the minifigs and the tank easily make the set. Also loving Blue Beetle and Killer Moth!
  4. Yeah that's really odd that they didn't use the cat ears on White Tiger. The minifigure and that piece are perfectly tailored for each other and you'd think they'd want to get their money's worth out of the mold. If it's not in there, it's a major missed opportunity.
  5. I think if Giant Man is all stickers it'll kill my interest in the set. I hate stickers with every fiber of my being and refuse to put them on my sets.
  6. They could use the same mold since his MCU counterpart is pretty similar, but yeah, they would have to mold/print him in different colors with the more tech-y bits. The version we're getting doesn't look much like his movie counterpart, because the movie is much more muted and has more gold. Any of the rumor mongers know the nature of the Black Panther minifigure's head? Is it going to be a helmet like we've seen in the games or are they doing a printed head?
  7. And here I was hoping that the new cowl design for Batman would mean that they'd do away with that stupid sweat band on his head. Oh, well. Interesting that they'd do the Geonosian style wings for Hawkman and presumably the Space Batman. I hope they hold up well, because I don't want to open up my box and have the wings be all bent up. I loved Darkseid in the initial, small photos, but holy crap does he look phenomenal with a clear look at him. Probably the highlight of the wave, in all honesty. I was unsure about Black Manta but the more I look at him the more I love the design of the helmet. I like the Brainiac design, but once again TLG fails to get the correct color to print on a darker brick color; the white armor comes out a dull gray instead. Supergirl looks great, but I wish we could have gotten a New 52 Superman instead of two rehashes of the same costume. All it would have needed was a new torso print. Manhunter looks brilliant; probably my second favorite fig in the wave. Does the aquatic Batman have a new material for his cape? It looks thicker; like Storm's from the Blackbird set.
  8. The Entertainment Weekly article said that it was Ultron.
  9. All the sets look great. I'm really excited for the Vision fig; I love the color palette they chose to go with. Don't know what you all are talking about, because that looks exactly like all the pics we've seen of him, whether it be concept art or on the poster (they're both almost identical anyways). If you look at the head carefully, it looks like they did the same thing they did with Bane from the Tumbler Chase set. They have the green part of his head printed on but it doesn't continue over the entire head because it's not possible to print on those parts. Honestly, I'm glad they didn't print the pink on a green head. He seemingly has a higher proportion of pink/magenta than green in the movie design and TLG isn't exactly known for their stellar matching of printed colors with brick colors. Look at this pic; Vision is standing behind the camera to Wanda's right. He clearly has a lot of pink on his head; more than just his face. I can understand the logic of doing a pink head instead of green. In the second pic, you can also see he has a lot more pink on his head than he does green. TLG did this one right, in my opinion, given all of what we've seen of Vision so far. Vision's my favorite Marvel character, so I may be biased, but I think they did a good job and I can't wait for this set, specifically for him. http://cdn2.business2community.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/vision.jpg http://media.aintitcool.com/media/uploads/2014/nordling/vision.jpg
  10. Loving all the sets. I don't get the hate on Darkseid. I think he looks great! I'd rather have all the bigfigs look consistent rather than an assortment of different poses; that would be very un-Lego to me.
  11. I'm betting that, since they chose to go with a bigfig for him, Darkseid will be based on his New 52 appearance. He's freaking huge in the New 52.
  12. LEGO really needs to chill out with all these awesome releases. Hopefully this one doesn't sell out too quick, because I definitely want one!
  13. Not really. If they gave us everything in the first trailer, there's nothing to look forward to. After all, we still have almost six months until the movie comes out.
  14. Ladies and gentlemen, you may want to get an extra pair of underwear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTZ2Tp9yXyM
  15. They're not traditionally Guardians of the Galaxy-related. In the comics, after Hulk was deemed too dangerous to be kept on Earth, they jettison him into space. They attempt to send him to a peaceful planet to live out the rest of his days, but he gets caught in a wormhole and lands on the planet Sakaar; a savage world where Hulk is forced to fight as a gladiator. Sakaarans are the native peoples of Sakaar. Their role in this film, however, is currently unknown, but it can be assumed that they're working with Ronan. It's possible in this continuity Sakaar is a part of the Kree Empire (whom Ronan works for).
