REVIEW: GIANT Castle Chess Set (2008)
Thank Good Cragger Fan and Haffy for bumping this thread long ago, I had the same question and searched but could not find the answer. It sounds dumb to me to start a whole new thread to one question when there is a perfectly good thread on the subject. This is insane to me...If he had sent White Fang a PM then we would not have known the answer to the question and the community would not have benefited. The OP answered the question so that was awesome. Also unreasonable is to open a whole new thread for that one question, or having one thread per question. Aniways, the reason for my post is because I plan on buying this set at some point and would like to know from anyone that has owned this set how it has held up over the years, and how good the comfortable actual chess gameplay is with the pieces. Also any extra info on how awesome the set is would be welcomed Thanks in advance!

Mini-figure storage on studs lead to crack under feet?
Thats good to know, thank for your reply! I checked a few of my other sets and their feet are fine. So it seems to be localized to my Death Star, which is the set I always have on display and move the mini-figs around every couple of days as they complete their chores; perhaps i worked them too much lol!

Mini-figure storage on studs lead to crack under feet?
Here is a picture just in case. At the top of the picture, on the mini-fig feet, on the center, there is a hairline crack.

Mini-figure storage on studs lead to crack under feet?
Hello everyone. I have a burning question and I cant seem to find the answer. Its regarding cracks in the mini-figs feet, or rather under their feet. I have a Death Star 10188 where I keep the minifigs "working", so they are always on display standing attached to the studs. Problem is when I read somewhere that keeping mini-figs standing in studs is bad for them, so I checked mine and most of the mini-figs on my Death Star have hairline cracks under the feet, where it clamps the studs. They are incredibly hard to see and its best seen on a white stormtrooper legs, maybe you will need a magnifying glass. The hairline are mostly on the center of the empty square facing backwards, if you are looking at the mini-figs from below. Its unnoticeable and the mini-figs clutch fine, but its there and I wanna know if this is normal. Should I not store the mini-figs attached to studs anymore Has anyone else have this problem? Thank you.

Imperial Flagship 10210 door problem..
Good advice, thanks! Here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4778ojywlx6hm4f/IMG_0911.jpg?dl=0 As you can see the doors open halfway only. Seems odd, I kinda wish they would open all the way.

Imperial Flagship 10210 door problem..
Hi all! Recently purchased and assemble the Imperial Flagship! Incredible and love it. One thing is, the doors to the stern castle only open partway, weird. Has anyone other owners of this magnificent ship been able to do a small mod to overcome this? Would love to know. Thanks!

Returning to Lego Pirates after 25+ years... just wanted to share my e
to the op: Great post! I am exactly your age and going through exactly the same thing. Bought the whole 2015 pirate wave but felt incomplete and inadequate. I did break down one day and pulled the trigger on an Imperial Flagship at a good deal, still super expensive thou. You probably will too, the allure is intense. It arrived 3 days ago and I will be building it next week! The POTC ships look amazing, but once I bought the IF, because of its price, I cannot buy any more legos until next year. As far as old sets, my research indicates that El Dorado Fortress 6276 and Imperial Trading Post 6277 is what I really need to complete my pirate theme, very intense sets with 6277 having a small bay on it! I will get them someday. Anything pirates in the aftermarket is soo expensive.

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
I am sorry if this has been posted before here, but I do have a question regarding the next wave of pirates, if there is one. I have been looking at the boxes of the current pirate sets. Usually there is the image of the set and then far off in the background a smaller image. Take the box of the brick bounty, on the artwork, on the background you can see treasure (skull) island and then far off you can see what looks like an imperial flagship. In the box for the Soldiers Fort, where far off in the background you can see the brick bounty. Now on the box of treasure island, far off on the background there it is again, the imperial flagship, the same as in the brick bounty box but slightly different in appearance that 10210. For people that have experience with prior lego artwork, are there hints included on them? All the other sets of the background have been produced except that one. Could this be an indication for next year...

FIGHT! 6211 ISD vs 75055 ISD
I dont have the new one, and I think is nice, but I think i like the old one better. Some say is flimsy, but I just added a few big plates in the bottom and you can throw this this around. It is bigger and the added bridge is freaking awesome. I do think you get a more finished product with the new one, as some of the old ones's parts look unfinished, mainly the backwall...i guess for display purposes the new one looks good, and the old one is a better playset.
