  1. Love it. The canoes, logo, detachable cockpit, but for me I especially like the slant of the engines which give it a slightly menacing feel.
  2. Completely unrelated. Mine was a build for The Last Starfighter IP. Got rejected because of - Warfare or war vehicles in any modern or present-day situation, or national war memorials The IP is on the approved list and there's two existing expired ideas based on the same IP. Not sure how alien Grig and Alex Rogan defending against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada fits into this category. Except that perhaps Alex happens to be from 80s earth. But if that's the reason for disqualification, then wouldn't the new Black Panther War on the Water set fall under the same category? It's modern day. Or what about the SHIELD Helicarrier? Anyhow, this thread isn't about me. Just venting.
  3. That's a huge bummer. I (TheBrickBang on Ideas) just got a rejection from LEGO Ideas today based on something that seems a bit unfounded. I've changed a pic, updated my title and description, and resubmitted but I doubt it'll change anything. Your idea seems great, and I feel firsthand what's it's like to spend a bunch of time on something and not even make it out of the starting gate. This is excerpted from Ideas own guidelines: The only acceptable use of a LEGO logo (or other logo owned by the LEGO Group) in your product idea is if our logo is on a printed LEGO part or sticker as a part of a model. For example, suggestions to release a LEGO store or LEGO delivery truck may contain LEGO parts showing our logo, or a Classic Space inspired model can contain the Classic Space logo on a Minifigure or brick. This certainly implies that a Classic Space inspired model is allowed. I think the toughest part is not being able to contact a human to get clarification on the rejection.
  4. I'm designing a build in Bricklink Studio and I need to know which angles a locking hinge plate (newer 7 tooth version) can be set to without the element being put under stress. I can roughly eyeball it by zooming in, but I prefer to set an exact angle. I know this information must exist somewhere, but my searching skills are failing me. Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. OCEAN PERCH This dream home complex features breathtaking 360 degree views. The mainland features easy access parking and storage. A quick ride across an aerial cable car brings you to the main living quarters built into a giant rock spire. A large wind turbine and two solar power arrays provide electricity. The small building at the base of the living quarters contains a water desalination system and waste management. A small dock provides the perfect platform for kayaks and other small vessels. An automated lighthouse warns passing ships. Ocean Perch.lxf

  8. Pilot - Jedi Master Ki-Do Ki-Do's intimidating looks hide a kind and gentle temperament. He is well known for his incredible skills as a pilot combining exceptional precognitive force abilities and masterful tactics. Ship - S12 Speeder Featuring twin heavy laster cannons the S12 speeder can damage much larger opponents. Flickr
  9. Pilot - Jedi Master Ki-Do Ki-Do's intimidating looks hide a kind and gentle temperament. He is particularly well known for his incredible skills as a pilot combining exceptional precognitive force abilities and masterful tactics. Ship - A.12 Interceptor Kuat Systems Engineering held an internal competition to deliver the next generation starfighter to replace the Delta-7 and Delta-7B late in the Clone Wars. The company produced two prototypes, the A.12 and Eta-2. Both ships sacrificed hyperdrive units and shields in favor of speed and agility. The A.12 featured twin ion engines allowing a maximum acceleration of 5,200 g. The A.12 had more firepower than the Eta-2 with two large laser cannons, two smaller rapid fire laser cannons, and two ion cannons. The larger s-foils on the A.12 allowed more efficient heat dispersion than the Eta-2. Both starfighters were subject to a series of tests with indeterminate results. In the end, a mock dogfight was to decide between the two capable crafts. Anakin Skywalker flew the Eta-2 and Ki-Do flew the A.12. The mock battle was epic, lasting over an hour, with Anakin and the Eta-2 emerging victorious. Ki-Do believed Anakin modified the Eta-2 before the competition giving it a slight edge in performance while sacrificing reliability. Ki-Do kept the sole A.12 prototype and flew it in many successful battles. Ki-Do survived Order 66 in the A.12 but met his end at the hands of Vader during the Great Jedi Purge in a legendary rematch of their previous encounter. 10. Thank you everyone. I’m a bit surprised that I won as there were some incredibly creative ideas with fantastic back stories. There were also some really great brick techniques (biting books, forced perspective, minifig giant, floating broomsticks and on and on). Lastly, thanks to Hinckley for putting on a great contest. I’m sure there are many of us that appreciate having contests to enter that don’t require enormous brick collections.
  11. Here's your link... http://http//www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Legowhizz/MylegowitchforEB/lego3.jpg Just remove the extra "http://" and you'll be fine. Good luck to you.
