  1. ...since the Team GB series with the white stands and Team GB and Olympics logo. :D
  2. A complete set of the latest Disney minifigures
  3. Congrats Doc!! Loving the clean white design! Clearly differentiates itself from the official range! The rapid full funding of the KS is a testament to the strength of your project and the hard work you have put into it! Very well done indeed!!
  4. Sorry if it has been mentioned before but with 142 previous pages, checking through each comment is a daunting task. I was wondering if LEGO has commented why there has to be 18 figures in this Disney series? It's not as if they will not make any further Disney series so 18 HAD to be made this time? Just seems strange. It also means the orientation of the guide sheet is landscape rather than portrait which the OCD in me cannot overlook. Having said that, just got them yesterday and look better in real life than I had imagined with the exception of the Genie which looks just plain weird. All the other non-humans have molded heads so the Genie should also have one too. Can't see cost being an issue, how much more would it have added to production considering this being a HUGE licenced series!?
  5. I'm intrigued how you would go about representing the HSBC Building (Hong Kong) at this scale. I've always wanted to build the Hong Kong skyline in Architecture form but not have the time nor skill to achieve it. I love your IFC, ICC and other HK buildings (did you do the BoC I couldn't find it). Also, I know it's not a skyscraper but how about the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona?
  6. I totally agree. No one can honestly believe they try to make the more popular ones with higher distribution because as a business it would make no financial sense. Take series 13 as an example. Tara Wike mentioned she knew the Hot Dog Man would be popular (albeit more than she anticipated) yet decide to have only 3 per box. Now, we all know people who are not even into LEGO have been hunting high and low just to get the Hot Dog Guy and as a result been buying pack after pack of series 13 to find one (yes not every knows how to feel for them even though it is one of the easiest ones to feel for). LEGO sells more boxes of a series if people are having to keep buying packets to get the really popular figure they want. Making the most popular one rare ensures LEGO sells far more packs. People just think they are unlucky and not found the one they want yet so keep buying. They will keep it that way as it would be silly of them not to.
  7. No, 71013 is the set number for the Disney CMF series (May 2016) so it should be safe to assume the number for the regular Series 16 will be 71014 (September 2016)
  8. It's been a lucrative morning! :)
  9. I'd love to see it. Is there an image online of it?
  10. Having only started collecting LEGO minifigures about 18 months ago. I have about 200 so far. I do not know exactly how many because they are all over the place. I have tried making up stands like the excellent design by Splat http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=56557 but in the end it worked out increasingly expensive as the 4x1x1 Brick W Bow became more and more elusive. So I'm interested in what many of you members are using to display your collection. I know the IKEA Ribba frame is popular but it doesn't allow you easy access to the figures and not expandable. I got a couple of the official LEGO minifigure display cases but even they are now discontinued. I recently saw the case below online but the only place I found available in the UK is from Smyths Toys: http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/lego-bricks/c-827/lego-classic/p-11769/lego-large-minifigure-display-case/ But at £30 each for the large one, it seems very expensive. Has anyone here got one? Is it stackable with the original LEGO minifigure case? I like it because it will minimise the dreaded dust problem.
  11. Actually BRabbit, that was discussed at the bottom of the previous page. Element 4125550 is no longer available on Lego.com but you could use 4 pieces of element 609126 instead. It does not look as nice though. However you can still find the longer piece on Bricklink.com http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=4125550 but they are very expensive to buy now. Hope that helps.
  12. I can confirm my friend who owns an independent toy shop has ordered the next 2 series of Lego minifigures on Friday. Firstly there will be series 13 due in stores this December in time for Christmas but the official release date is actually Jan 2015. The images used in the catalogue was the usual "?" And then in May 2015, it is Simpsons series 2. No real surprises but just finally confirmed by Lego.
  13. The good thing about Lego is if you can't wait for Lego to release a set, you can just build it yourself :) Here's my collection of the polybag version of the Mini Cooper mkVII in various colours.
  14. Well done! Looks very faithful to the original. Me and my sons also saw the promo kit a while ago and decided to make our own but differently: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92453
  15. To celebrate the nationwide release of The Lego Movie, we decided to make a mini cinema to display for our Lego Movie CMF. I know it pales in comparision to the MOCs on this site but this was designed and built by my 6 and 5 year old sons using what bricks we have. I just added some finishing touches to it. Have fun...
