About Me
Sweet on the outside, with an inedible sour center.
I'm just your average LEGO enthusiast who likes hanging around with like-minded people. Having originally been a member of BZPower, I went through a period of relative disinterest with LEGO following the end of BIONICLE in 2010. I picked LEGO back up as a hobby quickly, but didn't get back into the LEGO community until much later.
Once a BZPower member, I was reluctant to burden myself with the childhood follies on my old account, so I must admit that I made a new new one under the name The Kumquat Alchemist. I wanted a username that was truly unique, so I combined the name of a curious, bite-sized fruit with my appreciation for the Fullmetal Alchemist anime, and thus The Kumquat Alchemist came to be.
After re-joining BZPower, I was sad to find it quite slow, and never got to posting as often as I did when younger. Despite this discouragement, the desire to be part of an active LEGO community was there. I first learned of Eurobricks when searching for set reviews, and after exploring the forums as a guest, I thought I'd join.
Nowadays I'm mostly active in the LEGO Action Figures subforum, as BIONICLE's 2015 return has given it quite a lot of activity. I could probably find even more BIONICLE-related discussion on BZPower, but I enjoy the members of this community a great deal, and therefore prefer to stay on Eurobricks.
I'm hoping to be more involved with the AFOL community, but I don't know what the future might bring. Right now I just hope I can get a MOC together that's nearly on par with some of the beautiful creations I see here all the time.
