  1. Like others here I use document wallets (plastic type) in sizes A2-A4
  2. I agree with Darth Dino, I would also look at adding some music to liven it up a bit also (look for creative commons music to avoid copyright strikes on your channel though)
  3. Yes with the exception of a few licensed sets, Still a majority are a happy go lucky colourful fest :)

Thank You Xcod119 :) Love the site and forum, think it is going to really be a good time sink hole for me :)
  5. I am possibly going to cause some shock and horror with the following comments. I will point out I am an AFOL at heart although I do also build other brand construction toys and often enjoy them although not as much as LEGO. I don't see Mega Bloks trying to compete with LEGO at all, Infact they are polar opposites in terms of themes and seem to be doing themes that LEGO has not and will not get involved with. EG Mega Bloks Call Of Duty (Obviously LEGO is not interested in such a theme due to war violence and guns) Mega Bloks Assasins Creed (Coming soon but again LEGO would not want to touch on such a theme due to the nature of it) To me LEGO represents all thats good and well in the world with happy little towns mythical creatures and where the worst charachter you will meet is a robber, other than that it is all happy land and rainbows and unicorns. Mega Bloks on the other hand seems to be going for a different demographic altoghether (older gamer type folks who probably have zero interest in LEGO but will buy a set because it is something from a video game) I don't think you will ever find someone who says that LEGO is not the best quality construction set on the market. However Should you want some amazing detailed guns and weapons that look realistic then Mega Bloks has that for you. Believe it or not it was a charachter building set that brought me out of the dark ages (a small Doctor Who Set), I did not buy it because I wanted a construction toy but instead bought it because it was Doctor Who, I sat and built the set and then the memories of how I loved LEGO came flooding back, I think any brand set that brings back such memories of LEGO is a good thing for LEGO and good for expanding the number of AFOL in the world. Just my 5c but feel free to throw the full 5c back at me :-)
  6. I think it is fantastic that the forum even allows sigs and pics in sigs, I belong to a lot of photography and woodwork forums and they all have the sig function disabled, I guess having a ton of people with a ton of picture signatures very quickly takes up space on a server and can also cause pages to load slowly :-) As for why it is a rule on here I have no idea as I am new here but certainly a fantastic forum
  7. All of my bricks are via sets also, Here in Australia pick a brick is not very economical as we do not have LEGO stores and can only do the pick a brick via the LEGO online store, Minimum shipping cost is $25 unless spending over $150. Not sure if you do but here a lot of towns/cities have a classifieds page on facebook that is free to use and I know LEGO is often sold in bulk lots on my local one by parents whos kids are now all grown up and out of the house, Might be worth looking to see if your town/city has a page similar and posting an advertisement asking for LEGO in bulk lots, Infact I will be doing that in the coming month and will offer to buy bricks at a set price per weight bag etc. Good Luck and welcome back to the world of bricks!

G'day All I am an Aussie AFOL from Queensland Australia. I have been into LEGO most of my life but did go through a small dark age. My other passions are woodwork and photography so I often combine these with my passion for LEGO (I create scenes to photograph using lego) I also love filming speed builds of sets and editing them. I hope to get to know you all as being an AFOL is quite odd where I come from and it is great to have this forum to discus anything LEGO with other like minded people. Cheers
