Harry Potter 2019 - Rumors & discussion
I’m not even that upset at Marvel’s situation because I understand it doesn’t sell amazingly compared to something like HP, which is why I don’t really understand the negativity around HP’s figures and railing on sets that haven’t even been officially shown yet, not even prelims. A lot of the Marvel anger I can get, but this? HP gets a beautiful trans blue animal, a new Buckbeak mold, and so many great, unique variants of minifigures. Seems like a win to me

Harry Potter 2019 - Rumors & discussion
Honestly I don’t really understand the negativity surrounding the figures especially compared to other licensed waves, for one of arguably the biggest Marvel movies ever we got reused torso and legs across the majority of the figures in the wave, no new updated prints for major characters (and some characters omitted entirely), no new molds at all, not even for the main villain, a lack of updated prints and hair for a character with a new design that has been shown for quite a while, the list goes on - I’m super happy with how Harry Potter, on the other hand, gets amazing new molds, more printed mid legs, new recolors of hair pieces, etc.

204-00-2443 On brickseek, you can search for it in Walmart inventory, take the sku number, and search in target inventory, which gives DPCI

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Unfortunately pretty low, those were usually just TRU exclusives and the only reason we even got it at all in the US is Lego having to reshuffle excess stock after the surprise closure.. Hopefully if the GWP significantly spiked orders or proved super popular so they'll do similar stuff in the future.

I think buster is 204-00-2443; a neat trick is searching for the sets in Walmart inventory, getting the SKU from there, then using it to get Target DPCI

Ninjago Movie Screen-Accurate Mech Recreations
Looking forward to the release of the LDD files for Fire Mech and Lightning Jet! I'm really planning on building some of these with bricks, and those two seem like the easiest to do and stay accurate to the color scheme with parts currently available. Sadly, the Green Ninja Mech Dragon seems to be out of the question to build physically without drastic color changes, and while I could swap all the titanium metallic parts in the Water Strider for black, I'm much more interested in the former two builds so I'm eagerly anticipating the file release

LEGO Ninjago 2019
Two new leaks with an Ice Samurai (complete with blue katana) and an alternate dual-molded hood for Zane with ice shooting out of the back... interested to see how this plays out.

LEGO Ninjago 2019
That's definitely likely, but it's a shame it isn't something like casual Harumi. I get not including a missing EM as they aren't too relevant nowadays, but Harumi is still relevant enough to include here and would have been a more welcome inclusion that presumably the FSM, unless he gets an expanded role in S11.

LEGO Ninjago 2019
The only big disappointment for me is the lack of being able to turn the heads - a lot of the old Serpentine heads did that too, and I never really understood why given that you can make them much more poseable with rotation. I guess they thought the rectangular base would look odd while turned, but Pythor had a similar square base and never looked that off while his head was turned...

LEGO Ninjago 2019
Mummy snakes look really neat; what’s super cool, however, is Wu’s new design! It reminds me of the Samurai figures from the old Ninja line, which is really great

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Looking at some concept models from the Lego House, it's such a shame that Benny's Battle Buggy was cut from the film - it's a clear homage to 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport and looks fantastic. Plus, they made a green Classic Space helmet! Shame this will never see the light of day as a set...

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part
Either that or the books didn't sell great - I know I bought them all on the day they were released, but maybe the general public didn't take to them? Right now, it looks like the only way to see concept art and such is at the Lego House, which is a bit unfortunate (but at least it's something)...

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
I actually really like the build, and while Ronin or Rescue would have been great, none of them really fit in this set - the transforming Iron Man is a unique enough exclusive that people won't feel too bad about missing if they pass the window for this GWP, but just exclusive enough to make it desirable to hard core collectors. Let's just hope Ronin, Rescue, Rocket's new suit, and War Machine's new suit will be released via some other means in the future...

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part
Is there no “Making of the Movie” book this time? Those were absolute joys to pore over for the Batman and Ninjago movies, and some of my favorite artwork and preliminary designs came from them

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame
This was such a refreshing surprise and a great shakeup from the tried and true TT Games formula - by building off of Worlds and making it all Free Play all the time, it was such a refreshing play experience and I wouldn't mind playing a few more games in this style.

LEGO Ninjago 2019
Ninjago is once again among the top 5 bestselling themes, as per the annual 2018 results report: https://www.lego.com/en-us/aboutus/news-room/2019/february/annual-results-2018/ Doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon!

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
DC figures seem to honestly be in the same boat as Marvel is right now - minimal leg printing, not really any detailing on arm side printing and reuse of heads - the only time we got highly detailed DC figures across a whole wave was for Lego Batman Movie, which is completely different as the movie had a much higher budget than most sets. Over in the DC thread complaints are very much abound with the Shazam figure lacking leg or arm printing, Poison Ivy being a significant downgrade from the movie version without printed legs or hair, etc. I feel that both DC and Marvel figures are in a bit of a rut and in the same boat when it comes to lack of detail...

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
A manager in the Lego store today said that they’ll get the Endgame sets about 9-10 weeks before the movie launch, which is around now and would make sense given the timeframe of this promo. I visited a different Lego store and an employee there said the Endgame sets “are not in our March assortment” and we’d have to pick other sets for the promo. So now I’m just confused...

HIDDEN SIDE - 2019
Builds look really fun and innovative - even the tree on the graveyard has plant elements attached at interesting angles and shapes. Looking forward to the train - it's about time we had another ghost train from Lego!

BrickHeadz 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
To be fair to Lego and play devil's advocate, I totally see why they did this. From their point of view, Brickheadz have been warming shelves and consistently on sale. They probably had these in the pipeline for a while during the development of the movie, and didn't just want to waste the run they had already produced. So instead, they take the 5000 they made and slap a limited edition sticker on them, ensuring that every unit will be purchased at full price. Otherwise, I can totally see Emmet or some other characters being not too popular and going on deep discount should they have been released regularly. The only reason people really care about some of these is the sticker, so it's not a bad marketing move from Lego.
