According to set designers in past interviews, there's Ninjago stuff slotted for 2020, as well as the fact that it's an evergreen theme makes me think (and hope) it isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The poster was more referencing the end of the Oni Trilogy (Sons of Garmadon, Hunted, and March of the Oni) rather than the theme's end.

S@H got back to me - apparently they are sold out of all the figure parts and don’t plan to make more, except the helmet, which they are sending to me. I guess that’s not nothing, but I dunno what I’m going to do with just the helmet and no figure...

I tried contacting US Lego support and am awaiting a response. I hope they know what I am talking about, as I basically had to describe how new production runs had a different figure - given he's not even officially named Finch Dallow by Lego, I hope that they'll understand what I'm saying and be able to send him...

I was really hoping we'd keep getting city expansions outside the Ninjago Movie line, but I guess it's too early to tell whether or not a new one is coming as D2Cs aren't typically shown at Toy Fairs, right?

I have no idea what this next wave will be about and that’s really exciting. Ice Samurai/Temple? Fire Serpent being a hero creature/vehicle? And then a Desert vehicle? I’m so excited to see photos of these

I guess for narrative reasons it makes sense for the writers to keep it around to use it as an ex machine device in the future (as they just did), but in-universe I guess the power to explore other realms is always something useful to be able to have, so they just stored it under lock and key

I’m pretty sure in Skybound it was destroyed by a simple shot from Flintlocke’s gun, which (while erased) was still a really baffling moment when it just randomly shattered

LEGO seems to capitalize on the popularity of DC media like movies and shows when they are only allowed to do one or none officially liscenced sets - see Deadshot, Harley, and Katana being released in comic book sets when Suicide Squad came out, Reverse Flash, Firestorm, and Killer Frost as pseudo-Arrowverse related sets, and the recent Batman vs Ocean Master set that was clearly an Aquaman tie-in when for whatever reason they only decided to/were allowed to make one officially liscenced Aquaman set. I’m almost certain that if by some fluke we don’t get an official Shazam set, we will probably get him in some sort of comic book based set (and hopefully some Arrowverse characters around the time Crisis on Infinite Earths comes out later this year).

It’s only because the numbering they’ve used since then has not been consistent with this - Season 9 is Hunted, for example, and when you count all the way back, Legacy of the Green Ninja is S2 and Rise of the Serpentine is S1, meaning Skulkin is Pilot/S0

So this 3-pack is our Season 10 tie-in set, and the rest of the waves will proceed as normal - glad that’s all cleared up. And I can’t quite tell from the photo, but if the legs are unprinted that’s a tad disappointing, although the heads and torsos look great!

This is after Legacy - the Legacy wave is the technical tie-in to season 10, although it looks like they’re really only featured in the shorts. It’s been stated quite a few times that the summer 2019 wave and show is a completely different story than the oni arc.

Lloyd’s Adventures could be a 4+/Juniors set, explaining the simplified name? Also, perhaps whatever Spinjitzu gimmick they have is integrated into a set with Cole, which could explain the inclusion from the main lineup.

Thanos's face is actually really on point, but I don't really know how to feel about the helmet being here yet again - they couldn't have made a new mold for probably the last time we will get Thanos for a long time?

What is with the recent trend of less detailed figures and reused parts for Super Heroes sets? In the past (2015), figures that were side characters like Deathstroke got new dual molded legs, and we got an impressive array of new characters for the Marvel sets, almost all with at least printing on the legs. For Civil War we still got detailed figures, as well as dual molding for Spider-man, which carried over to Homecoming - and even Thor got arm and leg printing for the arena set. But recently, with the Infinity War and 2018 DC Superheroes figures, we didn't even get dual molding for Iron Spider-man, Black Panther's figures all had plain color legs with no printing, and even Thanos was an inaccurate reuse. Did the budget all go towards movies and the like?

This is really impressive, and I love the inclusion of the LDD file. If only more parts were available in Sand Green to make this a physical creation...

It's really only confusing as we know almost nothing about it besides small snippets from the creators - I have faith that Bragi Schut, who wrote some of the best episodes of SoG and Hunted, has the story under control, even though the prospect of the Oni conflict wrapping up in just four episodes after basically 20 episodes of buildup to the threat is worrying.

But Tommy A said that this four episode special wraps up the arc that started with Sons of Garmadon, leading me to sadly believe that the Oni will be one and done in four episodes...

The tenuous info we do have from leakers is that the summer sets are not Legacy sets, and instead something new. We know from Comic Con there's several unaccounted hours of content for 2019 besides the four episode Season 10, so I'm guessing the summer 2019 wave will be based on what is presumably Season 11 in the summer.

These are absolutely amazing - I love the way your brickbuilt staffs and weapons really evoke the parts from 2004 and nail that design aesthetic. It looks like these are built digitally - any chance of sharing the LDD files or instructions?

I get that the design was very derivative of Garmadon, but the chance to get the black fawn legs that Mystake had as well as a new horn mold is alluring. It just feels like a bit of a cop out if they were to appear as previous villains, but of course this is all speculation until the special actually comes out. I'm hoping (and guessing) that the focus on Jay and Nya's wedding is because at some point, one will be replaced by an Oni, which should be a really fun storyline to explore.
