[REVIEW] Every Canonized Fan-Created Model
Hey everyone! I am launching a new review series focusing on every single canonized model from the Bionicle fan community, be it via contests, books, or more. I intend to build every single one that has instructions published when this is all said and done, and if there's enough interest I'll keep updating this post to include the next models! Here's the first one, focusing on Tobduk, operative of the Order of Mata Nui. Let me know what you think or if you have any comments or suggestions for the reviews down below, and thanks for watching! Next up is Makuta Miserix! Melding Teridax Ancient

[MOC] Mariana, Daughter of the Ocean
Wow, this is an incredible build, and I love how you even integrated constraction/CCBS parts to make up the water and even the rocks, something you don't see that often in landscape builds.

The LEGO Space Experience... A New Project
Thanks! We’re excited to launch; it’s been a lot of work to edit and render!

The LEGO Space Experience... A New Project
Hey all! I just wanted to share a teaser for something I've been working on for a while... A few other AFOLs and I have been working on rendering, modeling, and editing a full feature looking at the history of LEGO Space subthemes and reviewing the line year by year, complete with semi-realistic 3D models of every major set and fully designed space environments, battles, wormholes, and more! The shots above were a quick test to see how plausible it would be to put a small classic spaceship in a realistic environment, complete with full 3D motion tracking and reflectivity of glass. I'm happy to say we are pretty proud of how these shots turned out, and are super excited to share the rest of what we've been working on with the community soon. This is the culmination of a significant amount of time, effort, and even money spent on software and rendering, and I hope fellow LEGO Space enthusiasts will enjoy! If you're interested, have any questions, or want to see something covered in extra detail, let us know and we will try to include it before the final product is released in the coming weeks. Thanks for checking it out!

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Or perhaps Vision's Motorcyle...? Joking aside, I'm curious to see if we will get any Disney+ show sets - with Star Wars, it makes sense as those are the major mainline new content for the brand, but since the shows are a little adjacent to the films for Marvel, I'm not sure how much of an emphasis LEGO will do for them.
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
All of those make sense, except LEGO's Ninjago display in the LEGO House in Billund specifically calls it evergreen, plus their employee-exclusive magazines have explicitly called it evergreen since 2015. That being said, you make some good points and I'm curious how long it will even last - although I highly doubt it's anywhere close to ending.
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
Yeah, I think that rumor is pretty clearly fake - Ninjago is again, an evergreen theme, and the celebration of its tenth year anniversary next year doesn't show signs of slowing down. If a theme is being retired, it rarely if ever will go out with a bang - they simply wouldn't put so much budget into a theme they were planning to retire (see Bionicle, etc).

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Huh, this is really interesting. Usually with these November re-releases, we either get a pretty old set (Taj Mahal) or a set that was previously very exclusive and unavailable to the general public (Vestas Wind Turbine). I understand with the Saturn V, but did the Ship in the Bottle set sell so well too that it warrants a re-release to capitalize on Christmas buys?

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Haha thanks for checking, and yes I did - set my alarm 6AM my time zone to obtain it + the light saber. Oh, LEGO and your crazy release schedule...

Allegedly according to leakers this will go live at 9AM EST September 16 (in the US)... best of luck to everyone trying to get one!

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Almost 2 hours past midnight and still no; I have no idea what stock production and demand will be like for this and really don't want to miss out... (i.e. the Ideas Piano vanished immediately and still can't be found in stores)

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Same... 30 mins past midnight and it still isn’t up. So strange given how Diagon Alley was up almost 30 minutes early.

LEGO Ninjago 2020
The $30 Tournament of Elements will almost certainly include the four EMs we are missing, right? (Bolobo, Camille, Pevsner, Gravis) I certainly hope so...

Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
Placed my DA order but the GWP isn’t showing up for me at all either :/. A few days ago when they had the speed champions GWP, the same thing happened but customer service couldn’t get me the polybag as they were completely out of stock. Really hoping this doesn’t happen again with this one.

LEGO Ninjago 2021
This makes a ton of sense in hindsight. We were all wondering why that specific reason was given for that cancellation, and having this similar set release very soon makes total sense. One thing that is a little strange to me is the standalone build - I wonder why that was included, and it seems like extra parts budget to me if it doesn't actually connect to the buildings.
-
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
It does seem to have a lot less fanfare than a normal “Big Bang,” especially given the sheer amount of effort and weight that seemed to have been put into it with that documentary and all. The only set featured in the S@H catalog was the flaming foundry, whereas most other themes got a much larger feature. I wonder if this really was intended for a limited release in Asia all along and plans changed with their updated regional exclusive policy.

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
For people in the US, the Castle is available on Target.com, but not sure how long it’ll last as the summer sets have been going in and out of stock regularly on the site.
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
I was thinking of it being more along the scale of the Giant Man/Ares/Hp Troll large scale figure, but a minifig could work too! Sadly, based on the description of the set from what people have said, it seems like it's going in a different direction than direct TV show adaptation (which I'm totally fine with; the city in seasons 1-7 was pretty bland tbh and only had an extreme Ninjago Movie makeover in seasons 8-10).
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
So hyped for this set; never would have imagined them ever revisiting the Ninjago City D2Cs but I guess the 10th anniversary of the theme is the best time to do it! Given that it’s Legacy, I wonder if we will get a Zane statue in the park...
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
@Ninja_whip has been posting preliminary/translated names for what are presumably winter Ninjago sets on his twitter! So far, we have: Roto Jet (I presume this is Legacy Cole’s ToE Jet) The Prototype Car (translated, unclear if Legacy or new) Nuts and Bolts (Probably S13) Walking Ice Maker (Bad translation of a Zane vehicle?)

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
I'm just curious as to the quality of the figures and builds as well. With 501 we had four great figures and two useless ones, although we can't really use it as a metric because those are battle droids. Previously in BPs, we get one or two "useless" figures, whether they be officers, named Jedi, etc. A $30 BP with six figures would be interesting, but all of them would have to be pretty good and I'm not sure how well they'll sell. For example, a stormtrooper battle pack for $30, four regular troopers and 2 Rebel troopers is significantly worse for Stormtrooper army builders than a $15 one, as they get the same amount they wanted for double the price. I'm curious how well this concept does outside the 501st, which is a hit because of the subject matter, not necessarily the structure of the set/six figure battle format.

Icons Landmark Buildings - Rumours and Discussion
Wow - really surprising that this is so big, but I'm not complaining! I'm just curious as to how well this does - the UCS Falcon had the Star Wars license to carry it, but this is more of a general thing with less appeal than SW. Could there just be a ton of smaller parts to make it more detailed? When this was first announced, I was picturing Manchester United Stadium size, but apparently it'll be much bigger.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
The 501st BP was up for pre-order on Amazon in the US... for a few minutes before totally selling out. It had a ship date of August 28. I hope this doesn’t mean they won’t be available on launch day at Amazon, if their entire stock was just bought out in pre-orders
