LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Hoping this won't be another Alien Conquest Wave 2 situation, with sets canceled so far down in production we could see box art in the background of a pic in a DK book. Hidden Side brings something original we haven't really seen that much from Lego before (especially Wave 1), and I'd love to see it continue as long as possible.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
I'm still really baffled as to what happened with Zane/will happen with him. Detailed descriptions for the rest of the season have been released, and there is no mention of him entering the game at all. Trading cards and magazines have shown a Zane figure with one dual molded arm (silver and white) and one printed arm with dots, which clearly wasn't just made up for those. With the way season 11 ended, despite Tommy A stating it was always intended to end that way, it just feels very strange to bench him for this season purposefully, especially after he was essentially benched for the second half of last season as well as the Ice Emperor. Other than that, loving the episodes so far. I really enjoy how to-the-point and concise they are, with literally no filler whatsoever (and it looks like there won't be any filler for the rest of the season). If this 16 episode format (equivalent to 8 episodes in the old format) per season sticks, I'd be fine with it.

LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
Yeah, nothing new has been shown. Very curious as to what will actually make up this theme given we now know nothing about sets, prices, quantity, or anything...

LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
The torso is incorrect and from the Black Widow set

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
It seems with Spider-Man, Lego is content to use the same suit for years - just look at the last iteration and how long it took to upgrade that. That being said, I agree with you - this is a really nice upgrade and the dual molded legs being relatively ubiquitous is nice.

The technology used here looks really interesting...

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
I'm not sure, I just feel like every official Lego post I see is flooded with these comments, with the official account even replying to some saying stuff along the lines of "we hear you, and things like this take a while to develop/there's a long process to make sets." It could be (and likely is) an extremely vocal minority, but Lego isn't stupid and I can definitely see them putting at least one or two 501st troopers in this $30 set. Realistically, it would probably have Rex and maybe Anakin, plus a few droids, and I definitely don't expect four of the same figure to appear, but I can believe them making one or two.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Making the BARC speeder and AT-RT a $30 501st battlepack seems like a very smart move from Lego to me. With such a high demand for it, why not double the price for the same quantity of stuff people want, just a few more builds and enemies.

Mando Brickheadz seems to be August as well, so the Spring wave is D-0, the two busts, and an unknown $70 retailer exclusive or D2C

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed
The game was officially released today! Gameplay is basically identical to any other game of this type, although with a nice Lego aesthetic. One of the best things is being able to collect sets, and see them get built in front of you piece by piece, like Eldorado Fortress or even the Architecture Lego House exclusive set. The devs clearly did their research with classic themes for this, and it shows: names all line up, there's fun dynamics between Basil the Batlord, Willa the Witch, and Majisto the Wizard, and best of all, figures and sets get info boxes showing history like the year they were released, what set they came in, even the piece count. The only downside is the really limited roster. You're basically limited to City, Pirates, Classic Space, Castle, Ninjago, and a Collectible Minifig here and there, without a trace of any other classic theme. The biggest notable omission is Adventurers, which I'm hoping is rectified in future updates. The upside is that they are relatively comprehensive with these lines. Space gets Classic, Blacktron (with Space Police prison cell nods), Insectoids, Ice Planet, Spyrius, even Alien Conquest, Pirates has figures or sets from basically every iteration to date from classic to 2009 to 2015, etc.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
This set was inevitable, and it looks great. Turns out Lego isn’t so out of touch with SW fans as they’re portrayed in this forum. Looking forward to the rest of the summer wave and clone wars sets, but this one was a must buy and already has been preordered!

LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
I will say they usually reveal one or two major 2HY sets at this toy fair, but not the entire wave. Fingers crossed this theme is big enough to warrant an official reveal!

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Huh. Could this be a sneaky 501st Battlepack at $30? Lego clearly knows there’s extremely high demand for this; it’s actually a really smart move to essentially make a 501st BP but with slightly larger/more in depth builds to charge more...
-
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
Makes sense given the $5 price point, that’s really interesting to me. Wonder what kind of blind bag gimmick this wave of sets will have, and if it will be any more successful than Nexo Knights’ attempts…

Future Constraction Sets?
In the Monkey King Chinese storyline, the characters could "power up" and grow to immense size to do battle; I'm just hoping that somehow, somewhere, LEGO gets the hint and gives us CCBS figures for the line.
-
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
CCBS please, LEGO, I'm dying for constraction figures ever since all the lines got canned...
-
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
Agreed, I don't want to see a Monkey spacecraft, Monkey Jet, or Monkey Motorcyle anytime soon. Fingers crossed they set a line and stick to it. The question is: how long can they sustain without giving the heroes vehicles and modern battle machines? Kids like substantial builds for the hero characters, and I don't know how many different animals/non tech vehicles they can sustain.

LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
As much as I wish this would stay traditional too, several reliable leakers have claimed it to be from Monkey King, as well as the fact that there is a Bull Demon in the story, and other leakers have said there is a modern/tech influence on things (See the sneakers on the bigfig's feet). Very curious as to what aesthetic the sets will take. Ninjago started off pretty traditional with some minor tech elements for the villains only, but quickly spiraled into full sci-fi fantasy. I hope they chart a different path for this theme to prevent it from becoming same-y, despite how much I love Ninjago's aesthetic.

LEGO Ninjago 2020
Thanks for the reminder, yeah, you’re right, it was confirmed from Toy Fair. I guess we will have to wait and see if it affects the story at all
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
At this point we have no clue, the leaker who revealed this info turned out to be fake, so despite the fact that the single leaked image of a playset might look board game-esque, there's nothing confirmed. Despite this, I do like the concept of them being trapped in a video game for the first half of the year, then being trapped in a board game for the second.

LEGO Ninjago 2020
I’m not so sure - the ninja are always covered in prints in the show, but this never carries over to the cards or promotional artwork, which depicts them as the sets depict them. The arm printing for Zane on the cards is consistent with how LEGO does arm printing on other figures, rather than on the show, where printing wraps around their torso and legs.

LEGO Ninjago 2020
Unfortunately, it was revealed that some of his info was egregiously incorrect, so he may have just been a troll and I wouldn't put too much weight into his rumors.

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
I think kids gravitate much more to outlandish vehicles like these ones, especially younger kids between 8-12. Getting a normal subway or an office building, no matter how comic-relevant or pleasing to AFOLs, is usually less exciting to the majority of children than a vehicle with a dynamic and fun action feature, such as a crawling mech. That being said, the fact that this is almost directly a recolor of last year's set is really, really poor. What is with the Spider-Man line and rehashes upon rehashes of literally the same vehicles from less than a year ago?
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
Yeah, what’s so bizarre is that they are releasing a new minifig pack in March with Zane, but it’s Legacy themed and has Digiverse Golden Zane, not the most relevant missing variant of Digi Zane from the Season 12 wave.
-
LEGO Ninjago 2020
Yeah, every single magazine and trading card depicts the minifigure with arm printing (and none of the other characters have it), which makes me suspect they are going to brand him as a limited release figure or special promo figure.
