  1. Very beautiful! One gripe and it is small: i would have liked the imperial officer to have been from ANH, such as the Imperial Navy Commander seen on the Tantive IV, rather than the lieutenant rank only seen in Rebels and ESB. But again, minor gripe.
  2. The picture looked as legitimate as the loch ness monster. Terribly grainy and blurry. Barely discernible as lego.
  3. Oh yea. I see it now... disappointing but whatever.
  4. Hothbricks has a neat comparative slide between the two versions. This new one is apparently bigger and I think it looks like its built better. The built-in handle is a nice touch, as moving the original model was very difficult. The fins bother me less now with the inclusion of the handle. I dont see how they could be with the conal slope of the pieces.
  5. Looks like the tantive IV set leaks. Proportions look off. The airplane fins were a grievance for me with the previous model and they seem to be there again, which is a shame. The fins really limited how one could pick up the model.
  6. New helmet wouldnt fit in the snowspeeder anyways. Its a lack of foresight moment for the designer.
  7. Touche. No writing on the helmet. Always though that was legos inspiration. The fact that the insignia is on the wrong side didnt dissuade me as footage is mirrored fairly often in movies. So the irony is that the podracer is the best of the wave but I wont get it as I dont collect prequel lego amd the snowspeeder and dropship are the worse but therell be the only ones I get for sure. Figure wise the dropship is great. The pilot figures in the snowspeeder use the x-wing pilot torso and legs and dak is still using that terrible grin face. I have a whole pilot squadron of smirking imbeciles. Yet, Ill still get it because I love hoth sets. Touche, lego.
  8. I could literally make that figure myself right now; it consists of all released parts. I wouldnt put much stock in it right now.
  9. The other guy is in the movie. The footage used appeared to be mirrored so his helmet design looks opposite to the lego figure. He appears briefly when the TIE fighter approach the bombers. Unfortunately, I can't find a screenshot of him.
  10. What region are you in? Shop@home canada still shows the original pilot. I am surprised that lego did this. Probably worth clarification from lego cistomer service. I expected a minifigure woth stand polybag.
  11. Sure its just a promotional figure that will be coming out soon and that it was just done for the actor's benefit. Feel like there would have been more news (as in people mentioning it on social media groups) if they "fixed" the set just before retirement.
  12. The new helmets dont fit in the current snowspeeder design. Im banking on no new canopy and that lego realized the new helmets were too oversized for the snowspeeder and we will get the old helmets.
  13. Ive heard its coming out in tandem with half life 3 and warcraft 4.
  14. My opinion as well here. Inferno Squad and the Dewback microfighter. No complaints. It's allow me a reprieve to save some money and purchase Vader's Castle and some HP sets.
  15. Hoth Rebel Battlepack and the recent Imperial Patrol battpacks were the only ones I appreciated the minibuilds. But that was due to the fact that they were in the movies.
  16. Can you share link or copy paste the list?
  17. Do we know if these sets will be released January 1? I believe that when TLM came out, lego was shifting focus on TLM wave and star wars was pushed to april. Could happen again.
  18. Wonder what the retail exclusives will look like. Other then the Inferno Squad pack, which I will definitely be getting, ill bricklink the rebel fleet trooper and the second figure in the awing set if it is a rebel technician/officer.
  19. Agreed. Thats all it looks like to me as well.
  20. Either that, or it was a custom. There are a ton of very good-looking inferno squad customs out there
  21. Not aware of the source material but your build looks very good!
  22. Definitely true. I think Lego has been decent in the star wars line with doing molds when required.
  23. Good screen grabs. Definitely not the focus of attention in those frames, though.
  24. I agree. I dont think updating figures is always necessary. Commander Gree was a good looking figure and still is. Double molded legs arent a standard for the star wars line yet. Having said that, if the build isnt intriguing enough on its own and the set only have reissued minifigures, it can be a detriment to the set, for sure. Im not a prequel expert, but I cant recall seeing the AT-AP anywhere on screen during the battle of kashykk. I only saw it on felucia(?) with aayla secura. As a rule, I wish Lego would change up the setting of some sets. Lego x-wing and millenium falcon have never been done with a ROTJ setting, for instance.
  25. If the character is in a new game that is part of canon, its part of canon. Simple, no?
