PAB Cups: What Did You Get?
I popped by the Lego store in Vancouver today. I was somewhat pressed for time so I just went for a small cup. They were just refreshing some of the wall, so I got some pretty nice parts; especially the olive green cheese slopes, and the 1x2 trans light blue tiles (wish I’d got more of those). -4x6 green leaves: 10 -bamboo leaves: 12 -2x2 trans bright green round brick: 1 -green flower stems: 27 -white flower bud: 87 -red flower: 7 -white 1x4 fence: 4 -white seat: 6 -black 2x1 plate with handle: 11 -1x2 grey clamp: 8 -4x4 brown plate: 8 -2x2 slope with printed control panel: 16 -black dalek bricks: 33 -1x1 trans purple cone: 5 -1x1 trans blue cone: 36 -1x2 trans red cone: 23 -1x2 purple tile: 11 -1x1 round purple tile: 33 -1x1 grey tile with clip on top: 34 -1x1 antenna grey-black: 31 -trans red gem: 20 -1x2 trans light blue tile: 60 -1x1 olive green cheese slope: 207 Total: 690 About 1.73 cents per piece (canadian) Not bad considering I didn’t really put much effort into effectively packing it. And because I could, I made a spaceship using only the parts I got:

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Well here goes my attempt at a sigfig: Erasmus The Crocodile Rider by Descoladore, on Flickr Erasmus the Crocodile Rider No one knows exactly where he comes from, but Erasmus can occasionally be seen navigating the swamps of Nocturnus on the back of a crocodile. He has an interesting method for controlling the beasts: he watches the waters of the swamp for a lurking crocodile, and approaches it with a monkey on a hook. While the crocodile is focused on the monkey, he mounts the crocodile. Eventually, the croc decides to go for the monkey, and Erasmus keeps the monkey dangling just far enough ahead of the crocodile so that it will pursue it but be unable to obtain it, thus permitting him to travel long distances on the back of his reptilian steed. Rumour has it that Erasmus may once have been a crocodile himself, and that some inexplicable force of nature enabled him to acquire a humanoid form.

Numbered Bags
The thing I really like about numbered bags is that for a larger set, if you only have a limited amount of time, you can just build, say, bags one and two, and then come back later to build the rest. With non numbered bags in a large set, you either have to have enough time to finish it in one go, or be able to leave all your sorted bricks lying around somewhere.

Boxes - do you keep them?
I keep all my instructions sorted by theme in a large filing cabinet. As for boxes, I keep UCS-type boxes, cuusoo boxes, and the architecture boxes. Everything else I recycle (really, who has room to store hundreds of boxes?).

How many bricks do you have?
Brickset tells me I have just under 35k bricks, plus I probably have another 10-15k in loose bricks. How do you guys with collections exceeding 200k store everything??

Hello!
My name is Matthew. I'm from Canada, and my favourite Lego themes of all time include (but are not limited to) Alpha Team (specifically Mission Deep Freeze), Lego Studios, Agents, Mars Mission, and Star Wars; although Architecture has begun to pique my interest. My favourite Lego set of all time is 1382 Scary Laboratory. I most enjoy making microscale mecha/robots, but I've recently started branching out into other genres of MOCs. I've been reading reviews on this site for years, but I've only just gotten around to making an account. Cheers, Matt Edit: I just noticed the eurobricks clock seems to be an hour fast... Is it permanently set to GMT-7, or is that just a weird glitch?
