  1. Last Year I created some Customparts, i.e rods for steamlocomotves. They exist as stl files. The Question is: Which steps are to make in order to import this parts into Stud.io?

Very nice. Is there an ISBN number, because I like to order it via my lokal book store. Thank you.
  3. Great work, worth to be supported and I'm supporting this idea. Living in the Northwest of Stutgart I saw this loco nearly daily in operation. But sadly it dissapeared to the scrabyard. So please support this idea: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/3720176b-b0dd-41f3-8600-1c624b602abe but see this loco in action at Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof ( = Main Station)
  4. Here is a solution to mount wheels, but a very rare one. Take these axles: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=bb301#T=C&C=67 or https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=pinpw2#T=S&C=67&O={"color":67,"iconly":0} and there are my desgns of wheels: https://www.shapeways.com/model/3dtools/7898169/0/6?key=9e7a44e657107110436dbc3cf302d303 https://www.shapeways.com/model/3dtools/7898186/0/76?key=77796d1e017eb202445e789aee9bd2da
  5. Eisenbahnromantik! A beautiful dream of old german steam.
  6. it depends of the station level.. In Germany I think there are five levels. The lowest. Haltepunkt: One track, one platform, signaling, ticket aurtomat, timetable, clock and a little shelter for rain then Haltestelle. more than two tracks and plattforms , signaling, ticket aurtomat, timetable, clock and a little shelter for rain on each side, sometimes with passenger information system Station ( 3. Grade): more than two tracks and plattforms , signaling, ticket aurtomat, timetable, clock platforms are entirely protected from rain, also shops, a control room, passenger information system, Taxi, Bus Station Station ( 2. Grade): more than two tracks and plattforms , signaling, ticket aurtomat, timetable, clock platforms are entirely protected from rain, more shops, a control room ticket selling shop, passenger information system, Taxi,Bus Station finaly main station more than two tracks and plattforms , signaling, ticket aurtomat, timetable, clock platforms are entirely protected from rain, a lot of shops, a control room ticket selling shop, passenger information system, taxi hotel, car rental, and also other features: I.E Stuttgart has a check in for a flight from stuttgart or Frankfurt airport, Pos office, Police, Bahnhofsmission(They help people in wheelchaisrs etc,) Andreas
  7. First of all I apriciate this effort in constructing this wheel. Thinkercad allows you to pass this design to a 3D Printing factory. So I imported this design to my acount in shapeways. And I ordered them.. but istead receiving them from shapeways, I got a response: NOT PRINTABLE. Why? The wollthickness doesn't meet with their specifications. After a view sleepless nights I came to the conlusion to construct them newly. Finaly I uploaded a printable design and got some wheels. Now it is time to share it. https://www.shapeways.com/model/3dtools/7898164/0/76?key=84d31c95d5427c432fdc35440a427196 This design is still in a beta stage. So I need Feedback to improve it. Andreas
  8. Just to imagine how complex these plants are: go to google pictures/images/photos type in raffinerie karlsruhe or refinery.. .... and see amazing pictures of a cemical plant. A good portion of the fuel of Europe comes from there. All means of transprotaions are there Trucks and Trains. This Idea, that is propsed, is only a fractal of the oritginal plants. kust a city or its own. Railcars of different types. This idea represents a huge set of Lego that might come. Add mor Railcars, Plants ..ractors....

My plans are to have the prototypes printed in 3D by Shapeways for approval. I expect that there will be some minor cahnges to be made. after evaluation they will be available on shapeways

Hallo, here is just an idea of a pait of switches which are parallel an uses a 40 and a 56 radius. just let me know in the comments what you think of this idea.
  11. Only a few minutes from introducing this project is almost ready. Great, I#ve been among the first supporters and watched this rising and rising. tomorrow it will reach the goal. WOW!!
  12. This loco is amazing. Wunderbar!, I have only a little questio: Would you be so kind to share the .stl files on thingverse or shapeways ?
  13. This is a trial. http://abload.de/ima...rted_s0zkid.png
  14. There is one way to get custom wheel for train: Modfy one of an exsisting layout for your needs. Other diameters etc.. Procedure: Download Openscad, Download a wheel design with an openscad file from thingiveerse, and edit parameters. Export fo .STL file and make 3D Print may be in a shop. One exsample Source: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:499704 the only thing is you need an axle from ancient wheels available at: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=wheel2a#T=C and a wheel holder: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=7049#T=C I did this for my own, but the results are not ready to be published.
