LEGO Star Wars UCS 75060 Slave I
Thanks for commenting. Should have realised that about slopes. Also, yes, a bit off topic. Got reading comment about stickers in UCS sets and got fixated on that rather than the thread.

MEC Category A: Battle of Osgiliath
Great looking set. Definitely a missing set in terms of content and could easily pass as an official. Supported!

Cheers for letting me know. My thought processes still have me needing to have everything connect together in system, so always on the lookout to break that up a little

LEGO Star Wars UCS 75060 Slave I
Has anyone actually seen the figures on cost differences in stickers vs printed elements? i suspect the technical setup of printing onto elements is substantially more than running sticker sheets through a topline publishing print press. Sets still use prints though so the costs cant be prohibitive. Benny's spaceship used both for the classic space logo - so perhaps the element onto which your printing is a large factor. Slopes cheaper than wing/tail elements for instance

{MOC} Securing the prisoner
Nice build! Are the rockery sections connected to the layers below or are they constructed as rings and then lain down on top of one another?

Death Star - is it worth it?
The DS is the set that i lusted after for ages and definitely was the lure out of my dark ages. Its a very well designed set, placing those key scenes all in the one build while not appearing cluttered or overworked is great design. Its a fantastic build which uses loads of techniques. I agree with the folk talking about it resembling a play set and yes my wife says the same. Although you can play with it the scenes it depicts are so iconic for the OT and pop culture that my friends are impressed with the thing itself before they even investigate the moving parts

Good morning from Scotland
Builds based on dune! Now theres a thing. Gets a bit epic for the size of my collection though- Not enough bricks to truly do a heighliner justice.

[MOC] Satellite
I like it! Also what dish piece is that? Is it based on a picture of an actual satellite?

[MOC] AMX "Hunchback" Mobile Gun Platform
Good work! What are you most pleased with on it? Like the base/ stand. Puts it in context but not too busy to distract from the actual build.

Vic Viper Steel Storm
Great build. I've been ignoring those spike parts in my collection so thanks for the reminder that each piece is useful.

Good morning from Scotland
Hello all! I've been a serial lurker for a while so decided to start talking myself. You're all such a friendly bunch :-) I'm a scifi nut so that's where my tendencies lie but some of the castle builds are beautiful work. Living in edinburgh encourages that delve into the architecture too. Cheers

Emmet's apartment from The LEGO Movie
There were some cool behind the scenes videos up online after the film came out which may help identify some areas. Not sure if it's the same stuff that's appeared on the disc mind you. You might want to check out tested.com as they had links to interviews with the animators
