  1. As I said on FLICKR, oustanding build Aaron. You really have become a master in the Castle theme all the way around.
  2. First MOC in Historical/Castle? Wow I'm very impressed! Terrific details, and the overall look of the build is very beautiful.
  3. Lovely micro! Besides the great build itself, I like the border to the MOC very much as well.
  4. Wonderful build! And the fact that you stayed purist LEGO for the hoplites is extra kudos in my book.
  5. What a massive and fun dio! Just screams for you to grab your favorite minifig and start playing. Congrats on a fanastic work.
  6. Wow, sorry to see that happened to you. I attend every year with my large displays, so I know this venue very well, and the owner of Brickfair never intends for any AFOL to get screwed over. He wants everyone to have a good time. He has now been informed and he won't repeat the mistake of letting someone like that in again. They turned out to be data miners, who should never be trusted ever. These are the type of slimeballs that sucker you in with "free" something but they require you to fill out your contact data. Then they sell your data to another slimeball company, telemarketers, etc. I've read articles that these jerks will sell your contact data for as little as 5 cents per household. Any time anyone says something is free, they are lying, period. As the famous line goes, the only things that are free in life are death and taxes (paying, of course).
  7. Thank you for the interior pics showing the technique! Very kind of you to take the time, and it's a fantastic technique too.
  8. Really unique and well-executed build. The overall effect of the MOC really takes you back to the feel of the interwar years, and the quality is enough that you could easily display this as a model in your study or living room. Keep on building these unique pieces.
  9. Yes PB do one! I greatly look forward to it. Thank you sebitsena! I appreciate it. Thanks Capt B, and Johnny Thunder IS great!
  10. Thanks so much Andrew, very much appreciate it. My minifigs total only about 60 here. The rest come from JBIronworks and Magnus.
  11. Just now seeing this here, wonderful details Graham and I like the overall effect very much!
  12. Lovely build. You are gping oldschool here with only basic bricks for foliage and water, but the overall effect is beautiful.
  13. Fine detail and setting. That roof is well-done as well.
  14. Great build! Effectively creepy for a dungeon where you wouldn't want to wind up. Excellent details on those diagonal tiles and rock work.
  15. Best Challenger LEGO MOCs I have ever seen. You see a lot of M1A1s, but not many Challengers, so they are unique as well. Great work here!
  16. Reminds me of the old Johnny Thunder aircraft back before he was Johnny Thunder....sweet little build.
  17. Can't believe I forgot to reply to your comments until now! Memory must be going... Thanks Graham, as always. It was indeed to build, and the story was so much fun to write too... Johnny Thunder forever! Along with Pirates, my favorite LEGO theme. Thank you! That croc won't be getting any of Johnny today... Thank you very much. Thank you Sci-Fi, glad you like it. Thank you Lady K, better than an old Halmark card any day... Thanks KlodsBrik, Daniel really appreciated it. Great to hear stigge.
  18. I like the curved wall and the details in the fortress itself very much. If you are open to a little c&c, I think the courtyard could use some more ground cover over those exposed symetric rows of studs, but that's just my own taste.
  19. Sweet MOC, with lots of great detail! Wonderful build. If I may add a suggestion, it's on your photography. If you back up a bit, say a foot or two, and crop the final photo down instead of shooting so close, your focal area will be larger and you will get more of the build in focus.
  20. Wow Capt Dee that is an incredible compliment, thank you so much! Very kind of you to say that. Yes, I think it needed more trees but that was all we have built right now. Need to make some more... How many large battles have I done so far? I think this is the complete list: #1 Defense of Little Round Top (Battle of Gettysburg 1863) #2 Battle of Rorke's Drift (1879) #3 Battle of The Wilderness (1864) #4 Battle of New Orleans (1815) #5 Battle of Waterloo (1815) And now Agincourt makes 6. I did a naval battle in 2012 with HMS Surprise vs. USS Constitution at Brickfair that year, but since the two ships actually never fought, it's not really historical. Cheers, and thanks again Captain Dee
  21. This is so charming, you just want to go inside after a long hike, heat up some hot chocolate, put up your feet and relax inside. Great build!
  22. No words are enough here! All I can do is
  23. The shaping on this bad boy is terrific! And for LEGO, it actually seems very intimidating as a creature, which means you've done your job well here.
  24. Thank you Hive, appreciate the comment very much. Thanks Aaron, even with the modular system and all the trees already built, we were rushing to get it done in time.
