  1. Here it is, what do ya think?
  2. Brick_Fan_Tan posted a post in a topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
    Any comments would be great.
  3. Hi, wanted to do something a bit fun. Some of the content has its roots taken from other videos. Some of the audio is a bit out though
  4. Thanks for the comments I did take a few proof shots this time to work on some of the issues from the last video. I agree about the background not being quite right, I think its mostly due to the scale. I proof shot two other backgrounds which were both colour, but my set seemed to get a bit lost in them. Focus looked ok on the camera (phone rather) but on the video it is clear that the figure gets too close for the camera to be able to deal with. Might go for a kind of abstract video next time out.
  5. Hi all Please could somebody embed? Please could I have some feedback on this one, I have already noticed the following areas for improvement - One frame has a thumb - One audio file is slightly out of time (note that I spend 2 hours editing due to my painfully slow laptop, and in the end settled on this version) - Lack of bricks to make realistic sets
  6. Hi Not sure if this is the right place, but I do not yet have rights to start a thread in the community. If you are short on bricks, is it acceptable to find a background by looking on google images and printing something on A3 paper? Thanks
  7. Hi there, Im new too, good to see this is a growing community
  8. Hi, Thanks for posting, any light changes are not intentional. I need to check each shot for quality after. I think it might have been a hand in the way of the light. Hope to create my next video over the weekend when I have a spare few hours.
  9. Hi all Have added a bit more detail to this one. I think the timing is a bit out on some of the effects, and I messed up on one of the walks, but its progression I reckon.
  10. Just got into making lego films and am needing a minigun for my first main film.
  11. Thanks buddy I will certainly take your advice on board. I have now added a (very) short walking video. I didnt intend it to be so short but I knocked the set and couldnt really re align after that. The conga video used a fairly new (albeit budget) digital camera, and I think the above film is much better visually. For that one I used an old camera phone. the camera phone seems to have a much better autofocus mechanism. Also this one was filmed during the day in a well lit room, so that helped I guess.
  12. Hi Just wondering if anybody could have a quick look over this clip of a walking minifigure and offer any advice, sorry its short, I knocked the set and camera out of position before I could shoot more pics. Note to self, tape down set before starting. Also I have used a 5 year old camera phone for this video, and I think it looks better than the vid I previously filmed (you can view this in my video library) Just wondering if anybody could confirm. The previous vid used a proper digital camera. Thanks for reading.
  13. Thanks for the advice Lewis, thats a great idea about printed backgrounds, I have access to an A3 printer so I could get that implemented fairly easily. I have amended the first post to link the correct video. Emilstorm, thats for reading, Look forward to hearing any comments you may have. BFT
  14. Good morning all My name here is Brick_Fan_Tan and I have decided to have a go at some brick films. Here is the link to my first creation, it was purely to get the feel of lighting, basic movements and editing. I will upload my second vid, a walk test, as soon as I have made it. I think I will have to improve the lighting or film during the day All the best BFT Edit, correct link now
