another one!? :( I really hope they do something crazy to the speeder if that is what it ends up being......

I just finished building 75234. It is not bad at all and although I have not owned either of the previous versions, this seems like more of an upgrade than you may think. As for aesthetics, not so much but for play-ability and sturdiness, this is designed better. I have concluded this after watching the michealmgf review of the 2014 one and comparing it to my experience with the one I just built. The older model seems to also be taller "Measures over 9” (25cm) high, 9” (25cm) long and 5” (14cm) wide" (taken from lego.com for 75043) but this one stands at about 23-24 cm tall so we are not talking about a big difference here. Also, is it normal for sets to have numbered bags with QR codes? All the numbered bags have QR codes and small numbers next to them, as well as one bag having a sticker with a large number on it. Is this new?

What is even worse is the figs that will be coming with it.... mostly all minifigs that aren't even updated... only the droids :/ unless i'm mixing this up with the gunship

I know its not as great as the old Cantina but, for the piece count I think they did what they could while putting a new spin on the set. Considering it only has 16 more pieces than the new A-Wing.We also get another minifigure compared to the A-Wing so that is also a plus even for its price. This looks like a business move if you read in between the bricks ;) (Speculation into minifigures being included or excluded) Why would they give you all the best characters in one set when they can easily stretch out these minifigures into other sets at different price ranges. This may not be true for your skiff example but there are others in which it could. Its an easy way for them to make you want to buy all their sets. It sucks but they have to make money somehow. I do not think that trend will be ending anytime soon either. Looking back at the Rogue One waves as an example, you can see that most main character figures were not always included in sets that they could have made appearances in(this may not be true for all of them but for a good portion of the smaller ones yes). It seems that if this trend continues, we will be looking at many of the small/medium sets having an exclusive(or highly anticipated) minifigures that you will not be able to obtain in any other sets. I do enjoy this new speeder as it is something never made by Lego before. As for the building, at least it seems like they have kept the same architecture for the Cantina. It looks like making a moc out of both sets will be a next year's project for me! The AT-ST looks cool and I can't wait to see the official photos for it. Honestly, nice point out! Would have never even thought of that lol! Are there any other new pieces or new colors for pieces in that set confirmed?

I am so sorry about the different text size by the way. I dont know how that happened (the mobile site is confusing for me) but I do understand your frustration with this and I am dissapointed too. I am only speculating as to why the promo will be different. I believe that it could be due to where these are being made and/or how much time it would take for the new bags to get there. It may cost them more to get those bags to certain parts of the world so they decided it would be cheaper to have the sales there while it was cheaper to repackage or replace them here. As for the timing, it may just be to keep confusion at a minimum. These flyers have been out for a while now so i guess the places where the new vaders will be is the only place they will change the promo dates. @Agent Kallus I hope it is like the old ones! I have a few older magnet sets and they are pretty great. Im not familiar with the new ones but I hope the figure is completely usable if indeed it is confirmed to be a vader magnet promo.

Aparently something like a vader magnet for North America instead. That is what some employees at a lego store told me but I’m not sure that it is confirmed. As for the new promo taking more time thats probably because they need to produce different bags for the new poly bags and distribute them. Under such a short time frame, I think only a few days delay isn’t that bad.

I think this goes here but i have just called lego regarding the VIP cards once again. The response I got is that the card should be received between December 18th to December 22nd. I live in Canada so maybe it would be earlier for people in Europe (just speculating for this last sentence).

My Jabba’s Palace has just arrived. I had to open it a lot earlier than expected when I heard parts loosely moving around in it :/ thankfully the bag that opened or broken seems to have everything in it. Im not too sure if the seals were tampered with and thats why I freaked out about it.

I know this question has been asked recently but.. has anyone received their Falcon VIP card yet? I contacted Lego a few days ago and they had told me that it should arrive a week after the email saying it is on the way is sent to you. They had also said it will take longer to get if you are in North America. I'm sure for some of you it has been more than seven days. As for Myself I am still waiting and it has been around 2 weeks since getting that email.

Just got the U-Wing in a Lego Store in Canada! Its on special for 79$. I also got the UCS Slave One and I cant wait to recieve some other special stuff in the mail Btw, does anyone post picture in here and is it allowed? I feel like it would be cool to see everyone sharing pics of their latest buys :)
