Dune Ornithopter Mod
Love what you've done, it looks so much better with smooth surfaces. Really great compromise. Is there any chance you can open up the tail to show us the wild construction. I havent started my build yet but would certainly like to add some of your ideas.

Hello Lucas Love your rendition of the 1966 Lego Batmobile. Its still better than the new 76188 set. Is there any way to get a copy of your instructions now that they are not on rebrickable. Thanks

42056 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS - MODs and Improvements
imadcobra replied to tripletschiee's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBody Upgrades were always top of my list of improvements too. I've incorporated all of jb70s technical improvements (thanks so much for your set of instructions jb70) added the black pin swap out (ran out so still a few to go), tilt on the steering wheel and then added 6 additional curved panels to fill in the body holes. Have retained the slight indent in the centre of the roof and front bonnet but used the curved panels to look more accurate. Slight upgrade to the front look using the idea from efferman and enlarged the front side radiators openings as they are in the real one. A few things still to finish due to running out of parts and then stickers including the GT RS3 down the sides. Really enjoyed the build and especially modding it.

Hi, I'm Tony from New Zealand.
Gidday Tony, great to meet another Technic fan here in NZ, especially one who likes modding their vehicles. Really like your black roof, bonnet and wing version. I'm half way through the Porsche now and improving the body lines/gaps is high up on my list. I'm replacing all the blue pins with black also, makes a huge difference, and glad to see someone else who fills the seats in. I didnt think of changing mine to right hand drive until the chassis was finished so not sure if I can be bothered taking it apart to do now. It would'nt have been hard from the beginning. I've added all the upgrades from jb70's instructions, really great to work with, he did a great job. Will take some photos when the body work is complete.

42083 Bugatti Chiron - MODs and Improvements
imadcobra replied to Didumos69's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingPosted yesterday at 03:50 PM @SheldonF Did anyone get an extra light grey flex axle? I got 3 of the medium size one ( not sure exact length). Did I miss a step in the build? I checked the parts list and it shows the build has 2, but I got 3. Also, tried changing this. I'm undecided if it looks better or worse. What do you guys think? https://imgur.com/a/IY7uZlE I think this looks a lot better and is exactly what I want to do too. Nice of Lego to supply you with the extra flex tube to do so. Then it just needs the top edges of the bonnet filled and it does'nt look to bad. Do the 2x4 panels come in the light blue, I think even those would help to fill the top edge gap.

75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017 MOD/MOC
Really like what you have done shizzah. Thanks for sharing your photos Exactly what I want to do with the bedroom and storage space. I have thought of swapping the engine and bedrooms around and I want to make the engine bigger with some blue pipes around it.. I Also like the extra doors. Not sure how we are going to get anymore stickers though. I had thought of getting some printed off of mine when the Falcon is finally for sale here (NZ) and I can actually buy it.

Thanks efferman for the heights. Exactly what I needed to know. 16cm will do, with 1.5cm to build some new landing gear.

75192 - UCS Millennium Falcon 2017 MOD/MOC
The MF wont be available in New Zealand in shops until next year so I'm getting ready by buying a glass coffee table to display mine in. But It only has 17cm between the bottom of the cabinet and the glass top. The official dimensions of the height of the MF is 21cm. Can anyone give me exact measurements of the height of the ship please, including the difference between both radar dishes. Also from the bottom of the legs to lowest point of the body excluding the lower gun turret, then from the bottom of the ship to the top including the top gun but not the radar dishes. I'm guessing I will have to remove the MF legs but I hope I can leave one of the radar dishes on. Thanks

42056 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS - MODs and Improvements
imadcobra replied to tripletschiee's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingGreat instructions aefferen, really great pictures with explaining each step, makes it simple to follow. Do you have a list of the parts to make the rear steering upgrade. Also love the detail of the older Lego Technic car sets. I'm in the process of trying to buy them all now at reasonable prices, unfortunately my dark ages began after the very first 3 technic sets and ended due to the porsche so I have a lot of catching up to do. This is a great site to do so. Appreciate the time you guys put in.

Looking forward to your instructions

Porsche Pricing & Availability
imadcobra replied to nerdsforprez's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingSo mine arrived in NZ today, ordered in the first 15 min on June 1st, so only 6 weeks to finally get here. Sadly not in time for our yearly Lego show that was yesterday. Luckily someone got one sent over from a shop in Germany, so there was one at the show. Lots of people looking over it. Cant wait to start the build. Yeah

[REVIEW] 42056 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS
imadcobra replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingGreat review Jim I have loved reading through the previous 108 pages of comments but so much better to read your actual review. Agree with all your comments, thanks for clarifying the gearbox issues. This isnt a big issue for me. I can live with it. I already have some ideas to improve it anyway, cant wait to start. It might be $600 in New Zealand but I will be buying it as soon as Lego shop allows me to. I'm a car fanatic, so I cant help it. Thanks for the review

[MOC] Lambda Class Shuttle
Thanks for your comments Nom Carver. I bought both of the old sets second hand off ebay. I dont have enough spare lego to build a ship. Yours is great, designing it from scratch is cool. I have spent the last week learning to use LDD, I want to design Queen Amidala's Starship, build it, then maybe chrome paint it.
