[MOC] OJKM Johannes Casimirus Rex
Babiczka Sparrowa pochazi z Chrzanowa, o! Very nice ship, even thou I prefer 100% classic ones (colours, minifigs only up to 2000).

Not bad for a starter :) Trzymaj się rodaku! :P

POTC - Black Pearl!
Well, from the outside it is lacking some things. The back mast, empty front, and the cabin are begging for a mod after purchase. Especially the shape of cabin. Of course I don't expect an angled one, but come on, BSB showed that a nice cabin can be slightly boxish. Davy Jones is absolute perfection, not to mention the black hull (just why 1 piece?). I put my hopes for the back and inside of the cabin. I can swear I see hinges to the left from where the gold windows end. Maybe some interior?

I really like your techniques, especially the bow and the variety of cannons! Keep it up!

The New Sword Sling Piece...
Photos, as you can see, in one configuration of sabre's position the sword slides fully: And in the other one, a bit more of the sabre is visible: In both configurations the sword will not fall out, so no worries.

The New Sword Sling Piece...
I got one in my CC set. No idea what exactly is it made from. It feels like some sort of plastic, but is VERY elastic, so it may be some kind of rubber too. For me, it is elastic and durable enough. It stays on a minifig like it should. No way for this thing to slide off a minifig at all. It is a bit tricky to put in with pauldrons (that thing on captain's shoulders), but can be done under a minute. It holds sabres really well, tho only when the hilt is facing the surface. Otherwise, the sword will not fully slide into the holder.

Stuff beyond the Pearl? In all honesty, I have a hard time thinking what could bo so awesome. Personally, I hope for a minifig pack and/or Impulse set(s) and a nice ship or two. Land structures are less interesting for me, but ships are always welcome. Also, some more soldiers could be done - so far, the whole line features two soldiers and crazy amount of pirates. By the way, am I the only person who thinks that POTC line gives much more to Lego Pirates than the Brickbeard line? I mean, it uses similar parts (masts, black cannons), but does the job better. Just compare Brickbeard's Bounty and QAR. In fact, QAR has the potential the old ships had - BSB and SES. Add some cannons, second deck, cabin decorations, your own crew and voila - a mighty, personalized vessel. Due to 2 mid sections and overall design BB is much less customizable. The BB line minifigs look childish to me (the skull on the captain's hat is sooo much <insert that tiresome argument> it hurts!), and POTC ones seem more serious. They still are Lego toys with some funny accents and simplifications, but remain the essence of a pirate. Just like the before-2000 ones. After making him good ol' yellow, Jack suits my customized BSB like he was produced somewhere in 1990's! Too bad he has backprinting. The parts also suit the whole universe. Yesterday I've put the globe, bottles, some brown parts and watcheyes on my flagship and they really fit. I cannot say that about childish food pieces from BB line. I am even thinking about getting one POTC ship. QAR is totally awesome, but I'm gonna wait at least for the Pearl. Black hull, sails and maybe even cannon flaps (you know, the things you have on the side) could make my flagship as mighty as in my best dreams, really. That being said, I am eager for more news about second line of POTC! By the way, my Captain's Cabin indeed had the cardboard for instructions. A GREAT idea, wish it became a standard.

LEGO SVD Dragunov
Hi and sorry for bumping, While browsing through my parts today, I encountered something that suits the Dragunov really well as a silencer/sound suppressor. Here's how it looks: The proportions are acceptable, especially since I can always use the longer barrel. And just as a reference, my finished full-size SVD: (yeah, no PSO-1, have to settle with a normal hunting scope)

Yellowface Captain Jack
Today I've put my hands on the Captain's Cabin. Most of the useful parts (globe, bottles, sword holder) landed on the deck of my flagship. I decided to add Jack to the crew (who wouldn't), but as a fleshie hater I had to use my idea with Johnny Thunder's face first. So, here are the results (yeah, I've got all of the old pirates): Personally, I'm satisfied with the results. The face expression suits Jack nicely, and he does not stand out from the whole crew. Plus, this face is more classic than the musketeer one, and for me it is quite important (in general I prefer Pirates pre-2000).

Classic Pirates Comeback #1
Hi! I proudly present the first part of a small comic, featuring the beloved Classic Pirates. Are the old minifigs from the previous century gonna find their place along the new pirates and POTC? Is Ironhook an enemy or friend? What happened to the BSB? And who drank the whole rum?! The first part is the beginning, it introduces the whole idea and features a small island built especially for this project. The creation of next parts is totally dependant on the feedback, so take your time to leave a comment if you wish. P.S.1 - Sorry for the awful speech bubbles, dunno how to make better ones P.S.2 - "Detaile", "Parte" and such are not mistakes, just thought they may suit pirate-ish language of some sort.

To my delight, POTC sets are finally availible in Poland! The prices are: QAR: 450 pln (equals 166 USD) Whitecap Bay: 330 pln (equals 122 USD) London Escape: 215 pln (equals 80 USD) Fountain of youth: 90 pln (equals 33 USD) Captain's Cabin: 60 pln (equals 22 USD) Isla de muerta: 90 pln (equals 33 USD) Cannibal escape: 140 pln (equals 52 USD) The mill: 200 pln (equals 74 USD) Video game: 80 pln (equals 30 USD) Now, I know that shipping, taxes, additional price tag for being new and licence cost something, but still the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! I mean, the cheapest set goes for 60 pln! I still remember that in my childhood the smallest sets were for less than 10 pln, and for 60 you could get a middle-size set. Heck, I've got my BSB (100% complete) for LESS than Whitecap Bay last summer! I do accept the price of QAR (Imperial Flagship costs 50% more and is not much better IMO) and the video game. Other prices should really go down. That being said, I gladly ordered myself Captain's Cabin. Sure, it is overpriced, but it has the globe, Jack minifig, some wonderful bottles and those big bones, oh and the sword holder....and while I'm totally against fleshies, Jack is always welcome in my crew ;)

Yellowface Captain Jack
Sometime in the past, on Eurobricks, I've seen a post about making fleshies like normal LEGO with some kind of a yellow marker. The effects were outstanding, and this could resolve the torso problem. Still, nice try! The heads suits quite well, even more than Johnny Thunder's one I thought about!

Lego Pirate V.S Hero Factory video
The special effects and overall non-stop action are truly amazing. In all honesty, I think that with such a quality one may even sell a full-length movie quite well.

LEGO SVD Dragunov
The torso is a knock off, unfotunately I do not have any military-looking original torsos :/ The inspiration was my full-size SVD: (I still need to get a PSO-1 scope)
