  1. Great point. Or they just get leaked and not revealed until they put in on site.
  2. There never used to be. More so, these 4+ sets were introduced and have existed without 4+ content E.g., Snowspeeder, AT-ST etc etc. But, I get your point. It’s similar, but not the same. The quality gap is significantly closer, as is the fairness of the price when it comes to system and 18+. Ah, thanks.
  3. Why do many people think Celebration is going to yield news? For all my years following Lego Star Wars, I don’t seem to know it’s utility on the Lego Star Wars leak front…
  4. Rather not a 4+ at all, but yes even if it was 4+… Ah, thanks - sorry folks! Yes, or this.
  5. I’m glad you like it! I’d much rather a V-Wing.
  6. 75354 $129.99- Insta, @insider news
  7. This 4+ set is the best example of its maximum ceiling. Look, it’s not awful and I actually think children will love it. However, as an AFOL I’d rather a precious set number isnt devoted to such a set. I’ll elaborate. The beauty of a Starfighter like this, is that it can be based on anything. The 2017 version as far as I remember wasn’t explicitly based on S6. I have determined this based on the set description and box-art. It was most likely inspired by it. Because of that, they’re under no constraints of what they can and can’t include. Hence, I doubt they’d eat into budget and time on s6-specific content as you describe. That is what I think. Sorry I didn’t explain it better earlier. I second this. Helps explain above too with actual examples. It’s also articulated better than I could have done! Thanks :) I’d be so disappointed if they viewed Young Jedi as a ‘Yoda show’…or have I missed something?
  8. Lego won’t go back to the Clone Wars Season 6. Plus Rex was barely in it, therefore I think it’s 0% likely. Again, just my opinion.
  9. Yeah as AFOL’s it’s a waste, and we were fortunate because we never got ‘wastes’ previously; Yoda Chronicles Atleast had something going for it. Combine that with mechs, and I just can’t help eye roll. But, and it’s a big but, Lego is for children. We have to accept it. However, that becomes harder when sets tailored to AFOL’s are overpriced, lacking in quality etc, or just plainly unexciting based on what is relevant. Considering this is a June release, we won’t see the others for a while. The next will be the Fang Fighter WHENEVER that scene appears. The summer wave feels empty anyway: Swamp Speeder, Yoda’s Starfighter, Yavin IV Base is all I can think of off the top of my head! Atleast I’ll look forward to the backlash from the mechs… More chance of Lego releasing a buildable Jar Jar…genuinely.
  10. Nobody can change my mind that it should have been a Clone Wars Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor.
  11. Yeah I’ve decided the minfigures based on the other sets I’ve listed. Yeah standard TK Troopers fly them; I remember seeing it in the finale of S1.
  12. If Lego were to only focus on a few sets from the Bad Batch S2, this is what I’d go with. Each would sell amazingly well. Obviously they’d have to be spread over a few waves as they’re all predominantly grey. Imperial V-Wing Starfighter £24.99: TK Stormtrooper, Imperial Commando “Scorch”, Omega Imperial AT-AC Walker £79.99: TK Stormtrooper (x2), Imperial Commando (x2), Hunter, Echo Imperial Transport Shuttle £99.99: Dr. Royce Hemlock, TK Stormtrooper, TK Shock Trooper (x2), Tech, Wrecker
  13. Yeah…no interest in the set. Price is horrific. I really don’t get the paradox that it’s targeted for children yet has ridiculous prices. I guess a new Yoda is interesting enough… Id be very surprised if Yoda’s Starfighter is based off of this show now.
  14. There’s so much amazing and relevant stuff they can release too. Loads of options, loads.
  15. So much stuff from the Bad Batch s1-2 and The Mandalorian S3 that I want to own in Lego form. I do hope Lego show proactivity in their releases this summer and beyond.
  16. Well, I enjoyed reading the divergent opinions on this matter. It just shows that we have different expectations, and consume, experience, build, and remember/memorise Lego Star Wars in so many different ways. I do wish I’d go back and read the 2011-14 forums on site and see what people thought at the time. I remember how excited I was at all the amazing rumours (especially Palpatine’s Arrest and the random Coleman Trebor in the AT-TE, as well as 2014 summer wave leaking on New Years Eve with the OT list but so many well needed sets such as the Cantina). I would later join Eurobricks after reading the forum since 2011-12. The point is, we all have our own views and expectations and however much we think ours is right or superior, they are just opinions. I did, however, thoroughly enjoy reading so many analyses and the nostalgia of those great days. To get back on target, I do hope news about the summer wave soon. What is one thing that you want answering based on those sets? For me, the obvious is the minifigure selection for the Swamp Speeder. But, more obscurely I’m intrigued to see IF they do a special box-art for the 4+ Young Jedi set, and if the Yoda Starfighter, is, in fact, based on that show too!
  17. Just carelessness. It’s an 18+ set, too.
  18. I have been trying to articulate my feelings on the matter for some time, and I might add unsuccessfully. I think the way you’ve described it here makes a lot of sense. I am still trying to attribute the weight of nostalgia to my frustrations with Lego Star Wars. Your observations only reduce that weighting. The summer wave feels the same. It’s just disparate sets all over the place. As a child I’d love sets that connected with one another in an obvious, or otherwise, way. I think the different times is a great point. For some reason it really bothers me.
  19. I really do miss the old style winter wave. So, here’s what I’d do for January 2024. I will update this list as the year goes on and new content is revealed. First of all, I’d want to make the most of the new minifigure packs. They were very successful and fit the theme excellently well. Each year I would aim for two, alongside a Battlepack OR another minifigure pack. The aim would be to army build what is relevant. I would then have 4 cheap system sets. I really do miss the days where you could go to your local store and pick up 3-4 £20 sets with some great minifigures and nice builds. Lego needs to start providing sets for the younger audience in terms of cost, but also for the AFOL Lego Star Wars fans who simply don’t want to spend so much money. Below, I have chosen four currently relevant: ROTJ anniversary, Yavin Base set, Bad Batch S2. Finally, I would have 4 medium-sized sets. 2 of them would go directly against each other and make an exciting pair. I miss the days where Lego would do this E.g., 2011 with the Bounty Hunter Gunship and Jedi Shuttle, 2012 with the Tie and X-Wing (even 2020), and 2013 with the Umbaran MHC and Z-95 Headhunter. The sweet spot would be that they perhaps connect to one of the army building type sets, if possible. The other 2 would be exclusives, and really make us feel they’re tailored to the hardcore Lego Star Wars fans. They’d be Lego exclusives, and one other retailer maximum. Army-builders: Endor Rebel Troopers £13.99: Endor Rebel Commando, Endor Rebel Trooper (x2) Imperial Special Forces £13.99: TK Trooper (x2), Imperial Commando Rebel ‘Yavin’ Troopers £17.99 (small Hovertank from old Battlefront 2): Rebel Fleet Trooper (x3), Rebel Honour Guard Small system-scale sets: Imperial V-Wing £24.99: TK Trooper, Imperial Commando ‘Scorch’ Rebel A-Wing £24.99 (Green): Rebel Pilot, Crix Madine Republic Barc Speeder w/Sidecar £29.99: Kelleren Beq, Grogu, White Phase II Clone Trooper, Clone Shock Trooper Desert Skiff (and Pit of Carkoon)£29.99: Luke Skywalker, Brock Starsher, Pote Snitkin, Boba Fett Medium-large scale sets CURRENTLY MISSING TWO SETS THAT COULD GO DIRECTLY AGAINST EACH OTHER (and relevant…). Ideally, they’d be between £39.99-£79.99. There’s too many Tie’s on the shelves hence I can’t do a Y-Wing and Vader’s Tie Advanced. ANY IDEAS LADIES AND GENTS? Homing Spider Droid (Exclusive) £34.99: Aayla Secura, Commander Bly, Battle Droid Commander, Battle Droid Rebel B-wing Starfighter (Exclusive) £44.99: Rebel Pilot, Mon Mothma, Rebel Ground Technician (Mon Calamari) Finally, March would be for the helmets. I think there’s so much more they can do with that line e.g., Kylo Ren, Battle Droid, Clone Troopers, General Greivous, AT-AT Driver, Royal Guard, Skiff Guard etc. May would be devoted purely to a UCS set, 2-3 diorama’s, and May 4th GWP. Any set currently releasing between March-June would just be saved for the summer line. Pre-Orders available. The summer would have 8 sets, plus an advent calendar. It would be adjusted for any new September-October content accordingly perhaps with fewer sets or a cheaper wave with more sets. 2 x £19.99-£29.99 1 x £39.99-£59.99 2 x £59.99-£79.99 2 x £89.99-£109.99 1 x £149.99-£169.99
  20. They just aren’t worth the price, sadly.
  21. Those tile pieces for the quotes sure look like stickers…welp. Eeek. Oooo.
  22. Sounds like they backtracked, similar to how The Temple of Doom was cancelled. Both are controversial. Just my observation. Don’t be silly, of course they won’t. So many possibilities for OT, PT, and ST. Fingers crossed the diorama’s continue to see this.
  23. I like both the sets. I think they make nice additions to the overall diorama collection. The Death Star Duel is visually stunning and I’m glad it looks distinct from the play-scale version of the scene released previously. The Endor Chase set is nice, although I wish they developed landscape rather than upwards. I would have appreciate a large log and a tree rather than two trees. Again, the price of these things for what they are is the issue. They’ll be popular no doubt, however. I really do wish the Jabba’s throne room existed; Would have accommodated these exquisitely.
  24. That’s my main issue, but not the only one. It just feels off, maybe it’s the shortness of the legs and the fact it doesn’t feel or look like a spider mech. The fact it’s called a “tank” probably sums it up.
