  1. Having been in the Lego Star Wars panel at celebration I can confirm that there was no new information given. It was simply a summary of the Lego Star Wars brand, its history and products. I did get a free polybag for attending though!
  2. Isn't this the custom Printing/decal thread? I can't seem to see the other one...
  3. Hello, I'm wondering if any one on this thread can help. I'm wanting to find someone who could customise some Speed Champions stickers. I'm wanting the 458 GT2 numbers changing to #71, the R18 Quattro changing to number #2 and the Porsche 919 sticker sheet changing to either red or black so I can build the 2015 Le Mans cars. I'm also wanting to create some stickers from scratch to build an entirely new Audi R8 based on the United Autosports version of the GT3 race car. Thanks in advance.
  4. The problem is I don't have access to a scanner, photoshop or printer. I'm not really prepared to spend hundreds on them to make a couple of custom stickers either. I bet if there's a wave three of speed champions that we will see the Ford GT's in a set. Lego have a seemingly good relationship with Ford at the moment and thanks to the recent BOP the GT is currently sweeping up all the trophies.
  5. I don't suppose anyone could direct me to a website or individual that does custom stickers? I'm planning on buying multiples of the race cars and changing the race numbers so I can have two and three car teams. Thanks.
  6. I've just returned from Copenhagen and I think this looks fantastic! I look forward to seeing the expansions, great work!
  7. Found the Porsche pit lane set in my local Smyths toys yesterday so naturally I bought it. What a great set it is! Both the 919 and 917k are incredible and the build is excellent too. Once the pit building is folded up it looks exactly like an actual Garage front from the Workd endurance championship with the correct branding and amazing refuelling and tyre rig hanging over the front. The set sadly does include over 80 stickers but they serve to make the cars and pit stall busy with details which I don't mind. I'm almost tempted to buy another so I can put my R18 next to the 919. My rankings for this wave so far are: Porsche pit stop Audi R18 Chevrolet Corvette Ford Mustang Audi R8 Just need to find the other two sets now.
  8. They're the next two cars I'm hoping for. It would almost complete the grid of LMP1 and GTE cars. Also, I'm loving the WEC branding on the Porsche pitlane.
  9. I built the Audi R18 tonight and despite it being a bit of a sticker-fest it's quite remarkable how they managed to capture the look of the car. My favourite Speed champions set yet! After watching your review I may possibly try to pick this Camaro set up tomorrow from ToysRus.
  10. Thanks for the review Just2good! I wasn't actually bothered at all about this one but after watching that I am tempted. The drag strip light tree looks really good as does the workshop? What reviews will you be doing next?
  11. I'm wondering what I could do to the Corvette to make it better represent the C7R Le Mans version. I suppose I could add a rear wing and maybe make the front splitter stick out a little more but I could do with some custom stickers. Any ideas?
  12. Don't worry about the spoiler, I appreciate the great reviews! My partner has just got me the Corvette and R18 from ToysRus here in the UK. Sadly she isn't home until tomorrow night so please feel free to post more reviews!
  13. Don't worry the sticker is actually in two halves so you won't need to use an exacto knife on it. Agree about the rear wing, it really bugged me throughout the review too haha. Just built the Mustang and despite the front headlights being a little strange looking I really like it! I think it captures the source material really well and the colour sceme looks great!
  14. I'm the opposite, I've been pretty much solely collecting the race cars but I do have the La Ferrari and P1. I'd say some are better than others at representing their real life counterparts. To me the R8 just doesn't look right at the front I'm afraid. The Phoenix racing R8 is one of my favourite GT3 cars currently out there, I was at the Nurburgring 24 hours in 2014 that this version won so I do have an affinity to it. It's a pretty tough shaped car to capture at this scale though so I do sympathise with Lego's struggle and subsequent decision to use stickers. I do have really high hopes for the LMP1's, I can't wait to make a Le Mans diorama with the Audi and Porsche doing battle amongst the GT cars. Does anybody know of a place I could get some custom number stickers done? I'd love to have multiples of the Ferrari GTE, Audi R18 and Porsche 919. I wouldn't mind trying to make an R8 in a United Autosports livery too.
  15. I've just built the R8 and I can't say I like it too much. The large sticker(s) that make up the front lights and grille just looks too out of place and looks strange. This was one of my most anticipated Speed champions sets but in reality it's my least favourite so far.
  16. Strange. I wonder what it is about Copenhagen airport? I may put some photos up tomorrow if I get chance.
  17. They weren't for sale it the Lego Brand stores in either the city centre or the airport but just the duty free. I'd imagine we will see them everywhere imminently.
  18. Managed to buy the R8 and Mustang in Copenhagen airport duty free. They worked out at about £11 each too! Weirdly there was no sign of them anywhere else in Denmark.
  19. Could it be Lieutenant Mitaka?
  20. It would be amazing if they provided the pieces for a rear wing and stickers to make it into the GTE version. We would almost have a full field of Le Mans GTE cars then.
  21. The R18, R8 and Porsche sets are a day one purchase for me. Speaking of day one, will that be in January or around March or April like the first wave was?
  22. I'm kind of hoping it doesn't get revealed today and if it does that it's not something I'd like to buy. I don't think my wallet can take another expensive set, not after the force awakens wave and my impulse buy of the UCS slave 1 yesterday.
  23. The 9493 was the set that brought me out of my dark ages, after not building a Lego model for about 10 years I was amazed at how far things had progressed. One of the stand out features for me was the wing deployment system, I couldn't believe how cool it was to have them all snap open and closed at the twist of a piece.

I'd probably go as far as saying the Force awakens X-wing is my favourite so far. I didn't think it could beat the 9493 but the shape and cockpit piece are excellent. It will be great to get one in white/grey and blue at some point.
