I'll take a look for your build. I'm kind of nearing the end of mine now. Just the legs and arms to attach and then some final adjustments to the abdomen. The TM armour is very impressive!

Whilst I agree the old Falcons colour scheme was more accurate to the source material I think I kind of prefer the new one. The darker patches give it an old and used look and somehow make it appear much more detailed. Saying that the old Falcon is still brilliant and I think they look great sat together.

Yeah, I'm registered on there as 'whiteleym' I don't post too often just tend to use the threads for advice with my build mainly. You can see my troopermaster lid on the photobucket page I linked further up.

Glad I could be of some help.

Sorry for the slow reply, I got busy building my stormtrooper armour last night. Anyway, I took some photos of the 2011 falcon vs the Force awakens one. This is the first time I've had them side by side myself and I was surprised at how much more detail the new one has! http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j47/Michael_Peter_Whiteley/Falcon%20Force%20awakens%20vs%20A%20new%20hope/0A42F436-40C8-4F9C-B3E5-61D2728D03E8_zpstxkkwyhu.jpg I also took some photos of the last three X-wings together too. http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j47/Michael_Peter_Whiteley/Lego%20X%20wings/71CA9CC3-C1B7-476A-8BFD-AC2FA27ECFD5_zpsrhukcb0g.jpg Sorry for the poor quality of photo, I don't have the time or the means at the moment to take much better ones. I hope it gives you an idea of the sets evolution though.

I have all the new Force awakens sets and some of the previous models to compare to as well. Would you like me to take some comparison shots later tonight?
  7. Nothing yet. I wouldn't imagine we will see any photos for a few months either.
  8. Yeah it was, I really liked that livery this year, I wish they had different liveries on the full season entries. As I mentioned in an earlier post I could see Lego producing the red Webber car from this years LM24, one reason is it's a modern reflection of the #23 917 and two because if they did the white one the livery would be pretty much identical to the 911 from the first speed champions wave. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzUwWDEwMDA=/z/4IMAAOSwjVVViHwC/$_1.JPG Here's one of the promo shots.
  9. I think it will most likely be the red #23 livery and neither the gulf and most certainly not the martini one. I don't think Lego would want to put an alcohol livery in their set primarily aimed at children. Codemasters don't put the Williams martini livery in their games due to the implications that would have on the age ratings.
  10. Yeah they did, they included extra coach numbers and also different locomotive numbers too. I suppose if you wanted multiple trains as well as extra coaches that would come in handy. I really hope they do this with the R18, having all 3 of them lined up on a Le Mans style grid alongside the 919, 911 and 458 would look amazing.
  11. I could definitely see that set including the red 919 and the #23 917. At this years Le Mans a lot of the Porsche marketing such as the billboards involved those two cars sat next to each other as a reflection of Porsche then and now. I'd personally love that as a set. Does anybody think it would a good idea for Lego to include additional stickers in the racing car sets with other car numbers? For example with the R18 E-tron they could give us numbers 7, 8 and 9 as well as corresponding trim colour differences too. If they were to do that I would buy multiples of that set, same would have gone for the Ferrari 458 GTE too.
  12. Boring? No, not for me it isn't.
  13. I'd expect it will be a factory livery such as the WRT one you've shown or the Phoenix racing version from the 24 hours of Spa or Nurburgring. I'd imagine the liveries such as flying lizard or Bilstein would be less likely due to them not being a proper 'works' livery. I'd personally love a United Autosports R8 LMS but there's zero chance of that. I wish the corvette they were releasing was the C7R, all we would need is the Aston Vantage GTE and Toyota TS040 and we would have a full grid. (Ignoring Nissan's woeful GTR)
  14. Absolutely thrilled that we're getting a 919 and 917k to go alongside the R18, I'm a massive fan of sportscars and already have a Le Mans style diorama using the current Speed champions GTE cars. I wonder what version of the R8 LMS we will get and what livery? When are these coming out?
  15. We should be seeing official shots in the next few weeks then. I can't wait to see what the first order sets will look like.
  16. Are the force awakens sets due to be released on the 4th September? I they are I can't see the design of the figures changing at all now.
  17. Purchased the Tyderium from Amazon Uk at £79.99. I'm really impressed at that price, I thought about getting the Final duel set too but I think £69.99 seems rather pricey when compared to the Shuttle.
  18. Yesterday I bought the Mclaren Mercedes pit stop set. Overall I'd say I think it's a rather average set, the car has a fairly good shape, though to me it could do to be a stud or two longer at the back as it seems far too stumpy looking when viewed side on. What I really don't like is the chrome stickers though, I understand what they're trying to achieve with them I just think there's a massive contrast with the actual colour of the bricks it's applied to. It almost detracts from the cars sleekness and gives it a disjointed look. I wish they had either kept the stickers the same light bley colour as the bricks or made chrome bricks (wishful thinking). The pit area itself is rather nice, I like the inclusion of a workshop area complete with spare front wing. I also think the computer screens and worktop cabinet are really effective. What I dislike however is the 'play feature' of the set where you can fire the car away from the pits. It just doesn't really work, looks unsightly and seems a waste of space and bricks. I'd give the set a 6/10. Good but could be better.
  19. A bit too much drag too i'd imagine.
  20. I think they are meant to be folded in, it looks wrong and out of proportion with it raised up like that.
  21. Just picked up the Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 on my lunch break. Overall I'm really impressed with it despite the masses of stickers. I especially think the headlight pieces could have done with printing though. After buying this I can see myself buying the rest of the wave. I reckon I'll start with the Porsche GT finish line set tomorrow.
  22. This looks great! I really hope Lego release some LMP1's in the next wave of Speed champions. Webber's Porsche 919 would look awesome sat next to the GTE car.
  23. At Le Mans the #51 was Fisichella, Bruni and Malucelli with the full season entry being Fisichella and Bruni. At the final round in Bahrain Ferrari swapped the driver pairings and Fisichella was replaced by Vilander.
  24. I believe it's the 2013 WEC car of Fisichella, Bruni and Villander. It would have been awesome if we had different number stickers for the numerous AF Corse entries that year though.
  25. Does anybody know size wise how the new Ferrari F1 car compares to the old Ferrari victory set 8168-1 from 2009? It would be good if it fit in the transporter but it looks too big. Also have these sets been found at Lego stores yet? I'm going to be in Leeds this Saturday and wouldn't mind picking them up.
