[MOC] Custom 4x4 Pick.up
Lucio Switch replied to Lucio Switch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt's very cool see this two pick-up side by side!! Once I finish the instruction of the Tractor truck (and I'm speaking about days) I will build the Madoca's Pick-up (it have a very clever transmission system) and the Tatra, before go back on my new project. If you have the possibility, use a LiPo battery and a SBrick...I tryed and, with this set up, it's faster and even more funny.

[WIP] Scania Dunderbygge
Lucio Switch replied to Becs's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingVery Cool!! I'm interested on the video, there are a lot of things to show, but not static if it's possible, drive it a little bit. I will see the difference between 2L motors and 4XL motors. My would be shorter and faster (probably) ... I'm used to hear this sentence ...

4-speed Transmission with new ring and Servos
Lucio Switch replied to Sariel's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingDo you think that is possibleto have, in a future, a profile on SBrick that merge the function of the two servos in one, so it could be more intuitive and it become almost impossible to engage two clutch at the same time?

Are Technic sets getting less complex?
Lucio Switch replied to merman's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThe max weight that i reached with a single MOC was 8.9Kg on the Tow truck. But is to say that both are beyond the limits of an official technic set. I mean, to lift it up, you must take it by only a few points, otherwise something will disassembled or in the worst case breaks. You have to handle ever with care and you have to play with care. And honestly the lifetime of some parts will be very shorts.

42039 - 24 Hour Race Car - Discussion Topic
Lucio Switch replied to AndroTech's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBuilded, IMO, it looks good from above, but very ugly from the sides. I'm not very satisfied. In the coming days I will try the B-model that seems to be more cute.

Lucio Switch replied to Doc_Brown's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThere is one think that I love on american muscle cars, the sound of a V8. So I don't like it too much, but It will not be my problem.

SBrick General Discussion
Lucio Switch replied to Nofer89's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI received yesterday my Sbrick, like a lot of others, my sheet of stickers is practically futile. The Sbrick box was a little mashed. Maybe a box instead the bubble wrap envelop, could be a better solution. In any case the Sbrick seems to be in perfect conditions. The quality isn't LEGO standard, but, IMO, not bad at all. I tryed to connect it only through the pin holes and they seems to work good. The Power Function connectors seem to fit ok, well, it's necessary to push them a little bit to be sure that the connections are stable, not that it's a real test, but, raising the battery with the Sbrick and 4 L motors connected, everything remained where it was. So I done some little test. Initially I had some problems, my Iphone 5S discovered the SBrick but, trough the test function, it wasn't able to control the SBrick. After I updated to IOS 8.1.2 it started to work. (I also updated the SBrick firmware). I tryed just a couple of the proposed controller sets and some don't work, those which works, printed a smile on my face. It's to say that it was a preliminary test, so, some issues could be solved by setting my phone in the right way. In conclusion, I am quite happy and I don't regret about the little investment made.

Lego Technic Tractor Truck
Lucio Switch replied to Lucio Switch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI'm deeply ignorant about extra EU tyre size ...the Unimog wheels are a bit to small but a bit to wide (we talking about a couple of decimal points). So It's a compromise, especially for the rear axle.

Lego Technic Tractor Truck
Lucio Switch replied to Lucio Switch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWell, them are donors, I didn't use all the parts, but these sets are very useful for some parts, like red panels and beams, suspensions elements, motors...the truck is almost 4600 parts.
